If you do spot one on Ebay or anything like that, you can call the Home Access hotline and report it, apparently they are taking this seriously, although they also feel the majority are using the laptops for what they are intended.
Sadly there is always a minority that abuse these things.

    That's good news.
I believe some of the free printers may end up on there, in fact think one already has been sold that way, but you could argue as it is not part of the package it's up to you what you do with it.

I'm intrigued how they will police this, unless they actually buy them and compare serial numbers.

    Just some (useless) info.
I have looked into buying some of the software that BLi offer with their package. The software is made by Sherston, who just happen to also be BLi.

I'm not sure but I asked the question on a Becta collaboration site after seeing one on eBay and was told they are keeping an eye out

I Heard from Someone yesterday that someone they know had a cheque for £800 sent to them for a laptop and i said no way would that happen if it was home access that they got the grant from as ive never heard of them giving a grant out of that much and also paying it by cheque so i think some Information there has gone a bit wrong.

the max u can get is £530 ... thats for the full package , and it isnt paid out via cheque , its a preloaded barclaycard and when you call up all your details are all on a database , i heard last week someone had taken the money off the card with the pin .... doubt that can happen too but shame on people if thats what they are doing , it will be traced and they will get into trouble

STAY WELL AWAY FROM BLI ... read the forums here to see the problems people are having with Bli .... they are not delivering the goods for weeks

Hi, I'm new to MoneySavingExpert. I did enquire about the free laptop grant and am eligible on all accounts except that i live in wales. Does anyone know please of a similar scheme in wales? I'm a single parent with 4 kids, 3 are in age range to qualify for grant. 2 of them get online homework, which is difficult to organise at times!
