the free educational software that u get from Bli isnt as good as it sounds
i thought you would get it all as disc form so you could install and unistall as its needed , we have a 13 year old who dont need early learning programmes , and we have a 3 year old , who in about 18 months time would have benefited from it , if it had been disc form i would have ordered from them .... just glad i didnt thou with the reports i read on here after ordering from positive IT ... plus it would have prob slowed the laptop down so much software that wasnt being used at the time ...think its rather silly to put it all on , if you have to format you prob lose it all too

Having looked at the software BLi are offering and that Sherston make and comparing it to others, including the ones free to download, there is a BIG difference.

If you go to the Sherston website you can sample loads of the games.

If they could guarantee me delivery within a week I would definitely order from them.....but since they probably can't.....

i wasnt quite sure as i thought the duel core that made it faster
when my tech friend looked atnd advised me he said 2gb was better than one and duel core was better than single ...im not very tech lol but learning daily , quite enjoying this forum picking up little clues and tips along the way , but i am a women and know how to spot the best buys ;-)

A Dual Core processor is better than a Single Core when you are using your processor for mulitple things at the same time e.g installing two different applications at once. If you had a single core, that core would try install both applications all on it's own at once, resulting in much longer waiting times. With multiple cores, it is much faster because you can do two things at once.

More RAM is better up until a point. My uncle has 8GB of RAM in his computer, where as I only have 4GB. My uncle has no need for 8GB at the moment, so he wasted his money. 8GB would be extremely useful for major video editing or 3D modelling.
