I lam new to posting on this forum although I have been following this site for a while. I ordered my Toshiba l450d 2GB from centerprise via their freephone line. I ordered it on friday afternoon (12th feb) and it arrived this afternoon (17th). I have to say, I am quite impressed as was worried after reading that some people have had problems with delivery times. When I ordered it they told me that they could only quote 5-10days delivery estimate and that there was no way to track it. Quite happy that it has only been 3 full working days to get here.
We too had problems with the Net Intelligence, it was blocking everything, even safe websites such as BBC etc. Made several calls to tech support who could not resolve it before home timeBut got my hubby to look and he has now uninstalled it. My children are supervised so no need to have such vigourous controls!
All in all I am very happy and grateful to have this laptop. Kids are over the moon and it ws such a nice suprise for them, think they will aquire a new interest in doing homework lol!0 -
Received Toshiba 450 from XMA. Delighted with this and the service, but should note that the T mobile dongle is useless as, despite showing 'Excellent' on the network coverage site, reception is almost nil. Will be sorting out broadband separately, as is a small price to pay for an otherwise great scheme.:)£2012 in 2012 = £34.440

Hi everyone, wonder if you can help me out please.
My son has got the full £528 grant but doesn't want a laptop he prefers to have a computer. Has anyone got any advice on which one we should pick? I have no idea of what would be the better computer at all. Are they really more or less the same specification?
Also if anyone can recommend who to order it off online. (Sorry!)
We have to have the '3' dongle as we have no T-Mobile coverage where we live.
Really appreciate any replies
Thanks to you all

As you, i have exactly the same package and the service was excellent. I would ring T mobile and tell them of your problems with network coverage in your area. I have had no problems what so ever with connection, after reading other people's problems with using a dongle i was really unsure what to expect but have nothing but good to say about the t-mobile dongle. Hope you get it sorted sweetie0 -
Hi haven't read all the way through this, but if you are having trouble with a T-Mobile dongle - as i was, this is what fixed it.
**Although it was showing I was connected to the internet, I couldn't get into Netinteligence to put activation code in.**
I was advised to install the dongle on another computer, a bit difficult as my laptop wasn't working, although luckily replacement power cable arrived today - so then could! OR go to a T-Mobile shop with your dongle & ask them to activate it for you.
Sorry if this has already been mentioned need to go out & get school shoes so haven't got time to read any other updates.
Kids laptop working perfectly nowComping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner
