Hi, I wanted to know one quick thing... Are the current offers on right now, the only and final ones? Or will new offers appear in the next few months? Currently, the specs of these systems are terrible and I was wondering if new ones may appear in the next few months for me to wait.
If not, can someone point me to the best laptop deal there is please? CPU to GPU ratio would be best. Thanks.0 -
There will be no new offer, you have been told before it is coming to an end, ie no more grants so no more of this offer.
Samsung or Toshiba laptops what you want is your choice.0 -

You're probably best going and asking this on the relevant computer threads I would think.
Can't see the current government running this scheme again any time soon, given the planned cutbacks ...0 -
best one is the samsung with 2 gig of ram, from positive, you will need that extra ram for it to run faster, and it has a dualcore cpu,0

Apologies if this has been asked already, I sat reading through for 40 minutes and searched. I have the Samsung with 2Gb. The internet (through wireless, and the stick) keeps crashing on certain web pages. It is doing it so many times I tried uninstalling IE, then reinstalling, but it still does it. I completely disabled that Netintelligence and tried again, stil no joy.
SO, I thought I'd give Chrome a go. This installs, but when opening it just reads 'This webpage is not available' on ALL pages, even google. So can't get that to work either.
IE works with adons disabled, but that obviously causes problems in itself for a lot of sites with Flash content.
I changed security levels and had a good look through internet options, but can't see much.
Sorry for waffling, any ideas? (Because it is very annoying!!! WOn't let me on Amazon, any photo site and lots of other things)0 -

Hi, thanks I'll be ordering something today, I just have sone questions.
I went onto Positive IT and the laptop with Dual Core seems to be sold out. Although, another laptop has come in its place (I thought no more laptops will be coming in?) Its the Toshiba C650 and it looks sexyThe only problem is, its a Single Core and I really don't want that.
My question is, for the people that have received it, have any of you tried removing the CPU to check if its been soldered down? Some manufacturers (even though I've never come across any) solder down the CPU's so you wouldn't be able to change it out.
Are there any tech savvy fellas here that could maybe check for me, to see if the CPU is removable on the home access packages? This is really inportant on me chooseing the best laptop.
Thanks!0 -

there are presently 2 companies ive found selling the samsung R519 2GB. Positive IT have sold out and will not be getting anymore in stock, i think they are phasing it out!
1. Centerprise home access
are selling 2GB at £577.99 paying 49.99 extra
They are selling the 3GB version incl office 2007 for 602.99 paying £74.99 extra
they sell others in samsung too.
2. second company selling samsungs are BLI - Samsung R519 2GB RAM + Mobile Broadband + Free Educational Software
paying 574.00 in total at a 46.99 extra cost.
Which 2gb should should i choose and is it worth paying the extra for the 3gb? I need to buy ASAP as i had the card for a while now.
Thanks
p.s ive had to edit the links as i cannot submit links as a new user((
