Marv i have the toshiba one. I got it for the very reason you said the Graphics chip is far better. Positive IT are very quick in delivery, mine came on the Tuesday after placing the orderon the sunday. I shall try to find out the motherboard specs.
Well according to cpu z the model is NBWAE 1.00 whatever that means..:)
Hi, thanks for the update. The problem with the Toshiba is that it comes with a Single-Core CPU and its not a Dual Core like the Samsung. What a waste. They take one good thing and slap it on one, and slap the other half on another.0 -
OMG big thumbs up to Positive IT, phoned Tech support up, said i have put the recovery disc in which is xp and he said that he will send me a windows 7 professional recovery disc including the full version of Office... BIG THUMBS UP GUYS.. :T0

Dear MSE
I want to say that we were very disappointed with our laptop for a number of reasons:
1. its a very cheap laptop package from comet which they had set aside for those with the grant money, its seems to be only worth about £200 and I know that we could have gotten a much better quality laptop if we were given a voucher and able to choose our own.
2. its very very slow when you open a programme/application and use the internet
3. the screen is not very clear and pictures are pixelated and videos are not very sharp
4. the internet access is weak and to get regular access we have to connect to my mums wireless and thus use up her broadband memory
Needless to say I would rather have the laptop than not however I think perhaps comet did not give us a laptop package worth the £528 of govenment money we recieved towards it.
Anyway I just thought I would share that, but I hope everyone else is happy with their's!0 -

2 Maybe you have a virus on it, ours is as fast as any other we have used.
3 Maybe you have a faulty one?
4 Again maybe a virus you have, running ours on wireless for using the net is not slower than using it directly connected to the router.0 -
1 yes that has been said numerous times.

You are clearly a computer expert.0
