I work for one of the designated companies and I can certainly tell you that no one is being ripped off, you wouldn't believe the amount of work that goes in to running a programme like this and you should be thankful you're getting a free laptop rather than accusing folk of ripping you off.

I am a parent who is grateful for this fantastic oppurtunity and my daughter now has a laptop and mobile internet for her homework.

I cant tell you enough how grateful she is for the package she got, but what I think the person was trying to say was that the specs of the laptops are a little pricey because you can get higher spec machines for lower prices.

BUT a lot of families who have benifitted from this offer are all hugely grateful as we would never have been able to afford to get a laptop.

Can anyone help me find perhaps another grant to help me? I've applied the 3rd time already, and last week when I called they said it was for the needy children only. Which makes me sad as I've been chasing this for months, and my sons been so happy that he was going to get a laptop, I just keep lying to him saying it takes time for it to come.

Please someone help, if you have a spare application laying around perhaps, or if you know of anywhere where I could get one. Thank you.

Pls help as i am not sure where to get mine from. I have decided to go for the Toshiba Satellite Pro L450.

When looking at 2 sites there is quite a big difference in price.

http://www.misco.co.uk/content/homeaccess/ToshibaL450.htm (Device only package) is £370. This looks good but does not list the full specs of the laptop inparticular the graphics card is not listed.

    This one http://www.homeaccesscomputers.com/homeaccess/index.php/computers-internet/toshiba-satallite-pro-l450-free-educational-software.html

Lists the card as a ATI Radeon™ HD 3200 but as you can see they want £22 extra..?

Is this because the homeaccess computers.com one has this card or are they just more expensive then Misco..?

Has anyone got one from Misco and does it come with this card..?

I would also be interested in the actual model number for this laptop as i would like to source the extra ram from somewhere else.

According to the Toshiba website, the ATI HD3200 is the standard graphics adapter anyway
