Ok finally managed to unlock the games. Install Itunes and MS Office 2010. lol.

Did a manufacturers reset. Installed Itunes and ms office. Went to programs in control panel, and the turn windows features on/off.

Until all that was done, none of the updates that automatically pop up were done. Then all the home access stuff uninstalled, and netintelligence uninstalled.

Hope this helps anyone else having issues.

Can you tell me how to do the manufacturers reset on the Samsung R19 please. I am having the same problems, cannot install ms office. It is asking for discs which were not included and a system restore only brings it back to how it was. Many thanks.

Rubbie, when you start up hold down F4. Follow instructions for complete restore. The instructions that came in the laptop have it all written down.

Posting this from our shiny new laptop! I went for theSamsung R519 & got it from Centerprise where they had the option of an upgrade to 2GB for £30. It's made such a difference already. I had no problems setting up & my girls have spent the Easter holiday exploring it's potential. If it hadn't been for this site & forum I may not have heard about this scheme. THANK YOU!!

Hey all, I recently came across this: news.becta.org.uk/display.cfm?resID=41861

It basically says that four new suppliers are due to be approved by 6 April 2010.

Does anyone think it is worth waiting for these new suppliers? Are they likely to offer different laptops from the ones currently on offer?
so does anyone know who the new suppliers are? and what type of deals they have on? because the more suppliers there are the more competition there is for your custom

Well, I clearly did read this thread or I wouldn't have posted a thank you. When I looked at the different supliers I didn't see that one. And I thought I was thorough. Clearly not thorough enough for this forum.

Just to let people know we've had ours (R519) since February and it's already broken and the supplier (XMA Ltd) is now saying it's not covered under the "On site, next working day repair or replace warranty service for one year" they offered with the deal, we also have it confirmed in an email from an employee before we bought it from them and made it clear that was one of the reasons that would factor into our decision on where to get it from.

We contacted Home Access yesterday and find it dubious that the administrator of the scheme don't want to even offer any help or advice.

Waiting a reply from Trading Standards and Becta.
    Dear Alty10,

    Reference - CON/00000XXXX

Thank you for getting in touch with us regarding your Home Access
    application.

Unfortunately we are unable to assist you in regards to your problem as
the issue you have is between you and XMA.

Any problems you have need to be taken up with them.

Should you have any further questions, please contact us on 0333 200
    1004.

The reference No. is real (apart from XXXX's at end) and quite appropriate we thought.

Ours also came with an 'Admin' account that was set up by XMA and wasn't available to edit/delete and it is a bit intrusive.

When/if it gets repaired/replaced it's getting a reset but I have a feeling this won't be easy to resolve, as I asked if it's correct that they (XMA) are misleading people and is one of their employees lying and not got any reply and not expecting one soon.

Obviously make up your own mind but it would be nice to be informed if it even comes under The Sales of Goods Act etc.... or some mention of what to do if you do come across any problems with any of the suppliers.

We now want to return it and get it from someone else but no doubt that's not an option.

    Disappointed.

    :(
