It must do as we got the card/pin today and the letter said we need to keep the credit card for 12 months in-case of any refund.

Thanks for that I'll dig the paperwork out and double check.

Still doesn't distract from the fact that Home Access are useless.

Does anyone know if the dongle's that come with these can be topped up? Friend of mine got one via this scheme, but son has used the allowance already . (Don't know which dongle they got i.e. 3 or T-mobile or whatever it is)

Tried searching on this forum but couldn't see answer. Ta very much

I would have thought so. I have a 3 dongle (not through this scheme) and can buy vouchers to put credit on.

The dongles have an allowance? Is that on downloading or on the amount of time spent on the internet?

    Thanks

I think it is 3 GB per month.
Everything you do via it is part of the 3GB limit :)

My friend just got one of these with a three dongle, but i couldn't get it to work for her, it kept saying no coverage, but I was trying it in my house where I know for a fact there is good three coverage.
I tried the sim in my phone and it said it wasn't activated, does anyone know if you have to activate the dongle or should it just work out the box?
The SIM supplied also wasn't a three one, it was a gamma telecom one, is that right?
She didn't bring the instructions and I can't get back in touch with her till tomorrow evening so thought it would be quicker to ask on here :)
    Many thanks for any help.

Hi, we received one of these vouchers. Is there a choice of laptops we can choose from, or is it limited to the ones provided by the approved retailers? These laptops appear to be over-priced low spec models?

    Thanks.

    Approved retailers only.
Yes they are over-priced lower spec but there are totally free.

Hmm for the money the government is paying, the retailers could offer more :)

All the laptops are celerons and semprons - which retailer/laptop is recommended out of those available?

    Thanks.
