thanks everyone. im going to tackle the hallway next. iv tidied and hoovered it and put an old rug down to stop draughts by the door, but i want to put up some very modern wallpaper to cheer it up. did you know that several shops let you have wallpaper samples for free lol, eg b&q, homebase, wilkinsons etc xxxI can choose happiness whenever I wish no matter what my circumstances

I managed to acquire another load of free underlay from freecycle last night, enough to do the dining room and hallway comfortably. Decorating the dining room will be quite limiting because its a very large room with only one window in the corner so I'm going for bright shades and reflective surfaces. The theme is 60s 70s retro, I've put several original 60s crazy retro wallpapers into frames and will be hanging them grouped together on one wall. Ive also got several retro mirrors to go on another wall and I will be using lighting to try to brighten the room. going to start getting organised today.
have a great sunday xxxxI can choose happiness whenever I wish no matter what my circumstances

Another lurker here. You're an inspiration! I love what you've done with your walls. Very brave. Very quirky. I love quirky.
Well done on what you've achieved so far. I've no doubt you'll finish what you set out to do.0 -

Hi!
Oh I love your wallpapering, excellent! I steal (I mean sample) little bits of wallpaper and put them in frames too! I have liberated some for the back of my dvd shelf unit to liven it up a bit.
Anyway, enough about me, sorry! Just wanted to say well done with tackling the areas of your life in such a creative way. You have inspired me and made me think I can change stuff too!

omg i cant believe it, i got to the interview and they have got a massive dog, an afghan hound i think. the family have always used child minders before, not nannies and i thought yeh right im going to be left in the house with this hound and go to pick up the baby and the dog is not going to like it. arghhh. apart from that it was a great interview, very good practice but i won't be taking the job, so back to the drawing board ho hum xxxxI can choose happiness whenever I wish no matter what my circumstances

Today im trying to get organised. iv sorted out lots of paperwork and paid some bills including a parking ticket 'doh'. sent off an ebay win and my application for a new bank account solely for ebay use to keep those funds seperate. im going to write a FINANCES plan today (yes i know its RELATIONSHIP day but hes not here so putting it on the burner til next week...) and put it on the wall where i can see it - with what dds go out when, payday, shopping days etc and try to be a bit more aware. iv applied for the tescos clubcard christmas club, i know most of you will say 'dont spend your points on shopping' but none of the deals usually appeal to me, and i feel better knowing i will have a bit xtra towards xmas lunch this year, iv got £18 already, some points from eon for my gas and leccy starting to add up.
im hoping to put my free underlay down in the dining room later, we've coped with bare floorboards all winter but its the middle room of the house and we use the fire in there most, its always going if its cold. my gas/elec bill for the past quarter was £333 - flippin good i think considering iv got two teenagers who have every electrical device you can think of and leave them on all the time as well as the lights etc. its definately the fireplaces which have made the difference. i havent paid for fuel yet, get logs from local woodland and scored some coal off freecycle love it
have a good day everybod xxxxI can choose happiness whenever I wish no matter what my circumstances
