Thanks for all your replies.....Im not going into why someone becamed my carer....or why an ex squaddie was living in a room with no proof he was living there (ever thought that people have personal problems beyond the red tape)......I intend to tell the truth,...thanks again
and relooking at the letters its a joint investigation from IS and HB, if I have read it correctly my husband really doesnt have to go to be interviewed..as its questions regarding me...as long as I go I think thats all that matters.0 -

Well, you'd better be prepared to explain it in the interview because they're going to ask very similar questions! When you claim public money, much of your personal life becomes public property, whether you like it or not.0 -
Of course, I know that!...but i'm not dragging up medical and personal situations here!...just so they can be scrutinised and pyscho analyzed.Oldernotwiser wrote: »Well, you'd better be prepared to explain it in the interview because they're going to ask very similar questions! What tosh.
lmao.... You make it sound as if you have a right to know about it.... You have no right.0 -
Could he at least get credible neighbours from the other addresses to confirm that they'd seen him going in and out 4-5 times a week?
Would the postman / milkman / binmen recognise him?
Did either of you keep a diary that mentions him living elsewhere?
Or emails, e.g. "Do you want to stay at mine tonight?" / "Looking forward to you moving in next week"?
Or your phone bills, even, with regular calls to the addresses in question that start and stop when he moved there and left there?
I don't know how much weight any of this would carry, but any evidence has got to be better than no evidence.
Above all, in the interview be honest. Get your facts sorted. Get your dates sorted. Get your figures sorted.0 -

Being an ex-squaddie has nothing at all to do with benefit fraud and you will have to explain it all in the interview, personal problems and all.0 -
