Recorded interview under caution help!!!

I sincerely hope Kath is less aggressive with the interviewer! IMO, she is coming across very defensive and as guilty as hell.
I think otherwise. Most people on here are treated by most as guilty before innocent. By nature you are not always going to hear what you want to and when that happens most people do become defensive. I know i do.:D0 -
wheres the 24/7 come from???
For someone to stay overnight, which he/your mother did as your carer you must need day and night care but you only recieve low rate care which is for failing the cooking test only so you have no grounds for him staying over at all as your carer but as your botfriend........0 -

Thanks alot, of course im defensive..natural human instinct....im answering questions (mostly unpleasant ones) left right and centre....why condem someone who is upset, worried and just asking for advice.
you should be ashamed of yourself calling me guilty.]/
just read back your answers and think what you would see if you were doing the interview, you have dammed yourself, no one has done it to you, you have.
You need to see a soliciter before the interview, do not go to the interview without legal help.0 -

you should re read your avatar quote "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind ~ Dr. Seuss#"
Oh stop being so melodramatic! "I should be ashamed..." Simple fact is, you sound/are coming across as/appear...(pick whichever suits) defensive and guilty to me on an Internet forum - and if you sound like that to me, then how are you going to sound to a hardened fraud investigator, that quite frankly has heard it all?
Lady, you need to get a grip.
And I don't need to re-read my signature, I know what it says and I am true to it - perhaps you should read the one underneath?? :rolleyes:0 -
yes and intenet forums are so true,
I hit a nerve didn't I?
tut tut.
or maybe I didn't, maybe its just appears i hit one.

They also can and do ask neighbours, local shop keepers, employees etc etc whether a person has been seen at your address and can document this as evidence.
Although there may not be proof that he lived elsewhere, there is proof to show that he was living at your address and this is what they will go on.
IUC usually occur when they have enough evidence to prove that fraud has been committed and not just on a whim from a devious person.
If it was me, I would be seeking legal representation ASAP and letting them make head of all the info. Whatever is done, is done now. Just be honest and listen to what they have to say.
It can carry a custodial sentance if they can prove that you have intenially (sp) committed fraud.
There is nothing wrong with a carer staying with you to help you etc, but the relevant people need to be informed as its a change in circumstances and benefit amounts would be changed accordingly.

The rent a room scheme means that anyone can rent out there spare rooms.
..... and earn £5.5k a year without having to pay tax on it.
So they would not need to declare this extra income for tax purposes.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

I would have thought it would be interesting to be a Benefit Fraud investigator but it would appear its more monotonous than packing biscuits into containers :cool:0 -
Ironically, if a carer moves in your benefits can sometimes increase (LHA for an extra room) and can help support a DLA claim for a higher rate of care. You might have done better to keep everyone informed.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan
