Recorded interview under caution help!!!

Hello,
I joined this site today hoping for some advice,
I received a letter today (and so did my husband) asking us both to attend interviews under caution at our local council offices next week regarding potential income support, housing benefit and council tax fraud.
I was receiving all these benefits up until end of october when my boyfriend moved in, then we married in November....as soon as he moved in i stopped all the benefits.
I am very worried as to cant think why they would want to interview us now??...we dont claim these benefits.
I'm wondering was I in the wrong to allow him to stay over with me 2-3 times a week?.......plus he used my address as his home address at work because where he was previously staying was a shared house and his mail would go missing.
I am also disabled and he helped me out in those times he stayed with me before i came off of benefits..
I am really worried that I may of broken the law by doing this and get prosecuted..
thanks

using your address as his home does constitute living there I'm afraid and is one of the key points they use when assessing whether someone is resident or not.0

So it must be that then....my ex husband also still uses my address for certain things too even though i told him and companies concerned not to,
Looks like im deep trouble then doesnt it......i feel sick0 -
Is there no way around this?.....what if he proves he wasn't living with me?...surely its not set in stone...or am i rightly panicking and thinking the worst could happen??0

as long as you can prove he wasnt living there you should be alright... have u ever had them come out to visit you at the house?0

No no-one has been here......and he was staying with friends for the last 2 years....so I suppose he could ask them to write him a letter stating the fact?...I don't know what to dostompin-sarah wrote: »as long as you can prove he wasnt living there you should be alright... have u ever had them come out to visit you at the house?0

Thats no good, anyone could write a mate a letter, he must have maintained his own household and by using your address and staying there you are going to have problems.0 -

Prisons unlikely but there are many other punishments IF you get that far, see what happens at the interview and if you are dammed confess and offer to pay it back.0
