People on low rate care dont need round the clock care, so that wont wash.
BUT people on low rate care are assumed not to be able to cook a meal for themselves so they would need someone to cook them meals.

3 meals a day could equate to someone needing to be there during the day

You need to see a soliciter as soon as possible to give you legal advice, print off this thread and show it to them and hopefully you will only have to repay the money, the council will inform the benefit agancy and they will probably want to see you too.

But you said he only used your address for work stuff............

I presume he didn't pay rent, or bills elsewhere either, and that mobile phone bills etc also came to your address ;)

I'll remember that if I ever do intentionally fiddle it!

I do feel for you. As has been said the main mistake is his mail. You never know they might not even know about it. If ex hubby has been spiteful and tried to get you in "stu" so to speak they many not know even half what you have told us. My advice don't mention anything unless they do. Let them ask the questions and just give answers to that question without deviating.

Kath13, you have been truthfull with them. The mail thing was a matter of convenience for your OH.

I hope this gets sorted out, when they see how honest you have been. You declared your partner had moved in from the time he did. Try not to worry, although easier said than done.
