    Did he sign tenancy agreements and a rent book at all..?. If so that may be of some use in that he did actually at least pay for another flat at the time they said he was living with you. Have you got solicitors letters dated before he moved into the 2nd house..? if so you might be able to prove that he moved in for 2 weeks but after a solicitors letter from your ex husband, he moved out.

    Can he prove he paid rent at the 2 rooms he rented?

    Preferably as direct debits, but even if it's a weekly amount drawn as cash that shows up on his bank statements, or a regular amount drawn which could be classed as rent, that may help.

    Maybe he can find the original ads he answered to rent these rooms?

    I'm sure that there must be some bits of proof he can come up with.

    No I didnt come off benefits and he was already working, he moved out after 2 weeks like i said....of course i was intending to come off but it never happened as he had to move out

    But he lived there and you were on benefits and didnt inform them, that and the rest you have posted here is like jackanory, you have condemed yourself with your own words.

    People on low rate care dont need round the clock care, so that wont wash.

    Nope, they were friends of his family, i got solicitors letters coming out of my bottom!

    You say I've condemmed myself with my own words...no I have told the truth..im not looking for an angle how to get around this!

    I didnt have round the clock care....like i said 2-3 times a week.

    Yes the truth has condemed you and they will have proof to back it up.
