    Morning folks:hello:
Welcome Gemma:hello: Sounds like you have got to grips with MS ways!

    Good luck for today csarina.

SunnyGirl - thinking of you. I sat with my dad while he died and although deeply unconscious, kept speaking to him, singing etc. At one point I'd been quiet for a while (it was through the night) and I thought I'd remind him 'I said Dad, I'm still here' and he raised one eyebrow. No-one had told me that hearing was the last thing to go but that certainly proved it. I know how hard it is.

All those who are having hard times, big (((hugs))).

Keep warm in this cold weather peeps.

Plans for today include stripping the 2nd chicken and bagging it up for freezer. Wonder if I'll do it in chunks rather than slices. My plans for it include a pasta dish and also to add some to some kind of stew.

Other plans include cleaning bird po0 off the window - nasty birds! Also need to iron DD's duvet cover in prep for her return tomorrow. Hope their flight gets in to Heathrow ok tomorrow as I think forecast is snow.

We are hoping to have more news of a new home today. Fingers crossed.

ps - SunnyG - Benyl&n is supposed to be good for kennel cough. I know that I was recommended that for my last doggie when she caught kennel cough....at kennels! My 2 have the vaccine for it only because our kennels insist.

As Johnny Rotten said, Ever get the feeling you've been cheated? After all those people being end of the world shoppers in Sainsburys last night and getting caught in flake fall on the way home last night, we wake up to only a light dusting. We had much more snow in February.I'm sure it's cos of the airport. They said on the news last night we were due here for about 7 inches.. must be a mans tape measure ;) It's not even that cold. Went to bed all wrapped up in layers with blankets, thick socks and hot water bottle and woke up roasting..:rotfl:

Hope all of you experiencing problems are safe and warm and well as can be. Take care everyone.

Hi Gang, well my therapist called and cancelled my appointment this morning which was good as he lives out in the wilds of Kent, then my son-in-law called and said he would walk the boys to school so I didn't have to battle round to his house in my car to pick them up. So now I am packing a few bits to go with me as I am going to make an early start to get to my sis-in-laws in Bromley, hopefully arriving just after lunch and will stay the night there and help with the big move tomorrow I think its best I get on the road to Bromley sooner rather than later, and get snowed in here in the Medway. I am hoping the nearer to London I get the better the roads. That's the theory, but who knows how it may pan out. Once I get on the motor way I hope it should be aa bit clearer it keeps trying to snow again here and its forecast to fall quite heavy later today.
Looks very pretty but a darned nuisance. Kids adore it though don't they.
I am layered up and will leave my heating on low whilst I'm away to keep the house warm.I know its not money saving but I don't want to return on Thursday night /Friday morning to a freezing cold house.
Take great care everyone we are all precious here

    :snow_grinGood morning!

Woke to a pretty snowy scene this morning (we had no snow at all when I went to bed). It is coming down fairly heavily now and I need to walk Penny before she disappears in the drifts (she is only 12" high!)

Big surprise! My Abel and cole delivery! Very grateful for that as I haven't made it to the shops and will be relying on my store cupboard supplies to get me through! Now have some bananas, apples, grapefruit, carrots, cabbage, potatoes (not many though) and onions.

Off to find out if Children in Church group is cancelled! I normally help out with the teas and coffees but I doubt many Mums will venture out in this!

Stay warm everyone! So far our heating is still working (for now).

    Catz x

JackieO - good luck with the move and fingers crossed.

Hester - bleeding from the ear does not sound good  - hope you can get it treated quickly.

Special hugs to MoneySavingDiva, SunnyGirl, pennyPincher,Csarina and June.

    Wave Hello to gemma :hello:

DD(15) is off school today as well as yesterday - it is closed due to the snow.

She went out yesterday and fell three times due to the ice and then told me her boots were worn out and let in water!!!! I asked her why she had not told me before so I could do something and she said she didn't want to worry me as I had been ill - don't know whether to shake her or kiss her;)

Might see if I can get some boots ordered online for her later.

Took some bacon, chicken pieces , loaf and sausages out of the freezer for later. Might make a big pot of lentil soup later to warm us all up.

Have to smile at DH - I spent months persuading him to take early retirement at the end of this month and he is now organising a study for himself downstairs so he can do family history etc. He is moving the desks round so they get the best natural light etc and now seems to be looking forward to the idea. (He now is starting to think it was his idea;))

Am getting over the worst of the cold some dear family member decided to share yesterday so feel a bit more human.

    Hugs to everyone

Just looked out of the window and big thick flakes of snow are falling really fast. Practically a blizzard!

Very pretty but there is no way I am going out in it. I need to go to hospital next Thursday for a check up of warfarin levels so will conserve my energy for that.

    JackieO

Make sure you have a flask of hot drink, blanket and a bite to at the very least. Take care out there.

    csarina - (((hug))) for you
catznine - wow - that is impressive it got to you!
tru - glad to see you back :) Hope Harry starts klaying again soon

I had a welly peg too :) It was a dolly peg with wool for hair - we made them at school :)

    We have snow. This much:

This is the first snow we've had here - normally it misses us :) The above photos are the view from my office abiout 10 mins ago. I got to work; in retrospect, I'm thinking it was a stupid idea seeing how fast it's coming down now.

Oswise I made pizza for dinner last night and some popcorn - I reorganised the cupboards at the weekend and am trying to make a point of using some of the random things in the cupboard I'd forgotten about (or to be honest are too high up for me to see without standing on a chair!). I bought my dad some things from Lush which I will post to him today to try and cheer him up a bit - and got a free bag of bits and pieces. I used half of one of the free bubble bars in the bath last night and my skin is now red raw and painful.

I took my friend to Jamie's italian in Oxford for lunch yesterday. It was okay, in a sort of I-can-do-this-myself kinda way :) She had sea bass and I must admit I always feel sick watching people dismember whole fish at the dinner table. _pale_ It was nice to see her and see hear how she got on in her exam now she's had a day to let it sink in :)

Right - I have to go and poke the HPLC into giving me some numbers, have a good day all, cel x
