  • 30 minutes on the rowing machine today, so that's my first week down :)
I'm guessing I should do it out of 48 weeks, not 52, so that's 1/48

    Hi SGTG and welcome,

Last week and so far this week only managed twice, don't know what is up with me but having trouble motivating myself and getting to the gym. Hopefully if more people join in we will help each other to keep going.

I did 8x last week. Slept in one morning so missed my swim session. So I did 2x zumba classes in a row that evening. I cannot believe I am the same person as the one I was 12 months ago. That would have been physically and mentally impossible I tell ya!

1x swim for one hour so far this week (this morning).

I started Zumba in January so have only been about 6 times, but I absolutely love it.

    It's so much fun.

The class I go to is very mixed with ladies (and a couple of men) of all ages, shapes & sizes.

It's very friendly & not one of these classes that makes you feel inferior when you make a mistake, end up looking at everyone facing the wrong way or finish the class looking a total wreck!

The emphasis is on moving to the music & there is a huge range of music from latin american, bollywood, calypso etc.

Try searching for Zumba on youtube to give you an idea of what it's like - a good one to search is Zumba Wiggle Wiggle.
  • Evening :)

I managed the first two weeks with no trouble, but from last Friday until now I've been too ill to anything except drag myself out for the school run! I think it must be some sort of flu - sore throat, headaches, sinusitis and conjunctivitis...bleaurgh! I'm still feeling a bit rough, but I'm really hoping that by monday I'm able to at least use the rowing machine.

    So, that's 2/48 so far :)

    Hi,

Well after a few pathetic weeks :o I am now getting back into the swing of it and have completed three session at the gym this week.
I have been doing high intensity interval training which feels like it is doing me good, but leaves me absolutely shattered.

  • Is there room for a (not so) little one? I need to lose weight so have started exercising seriously this week. I've exercised every day this week, for at least 1 hour per day
  • Can I join? I cancelled my gym membership, as I only liked the classes, and they weren't at times that suited me. Also, gym membership is very expensive where I live - all the gyms (there are three) cost about £60-£70 per month!

Since I cancelled, I've done more exercise than ever, at home! I walk with a friend once a week - about 6 miles. Then Pilates once a week, then 3 or 4 sessions of exercise DVDs. I've got about 15 of them, so I don't get bored - Joanna Hall, The Firm, Nadia Sawalha, Charlie Brook - lots of variety!

This week so far I have done Pilates and three sessions of exercise DVD, and will be walking tomorrow.
Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

Room for another? I really need a kick up the bum to get me back into exercise. I started the 30 day shred a while back, did 15 days in a row but then came down with a cold and never got back into it:o
I do walk every day, usually around 12,000 steps but i NEED to step it up again as my weight loss has sts for around 8wks now - mind the fact that i've just stuffed my face this eve prob wont help my weight loss either, has been one of those days:o. Not like i have no motivation either, we're going away in 12wks and would like to look and feel better about myself in my swimsuit. Have around 14lb to loose so should be doable (famous last words).
