    Happy new week everyone!

Last week I did 6x sessions, yay me! On two days I did a 40 swim before work and a class after work. I needed a kick!

Started this week well yesterday with a pump class.

Well done sandc:T . I'm still keeping on in there . Ive been cycling a lot lately , did 12 miles yesterday and 15 miles the day before . I find one of the easiest ways to stay trim and keep it is to cycle to work ( if your work is near enough), some of the cycle paths are lovely and nowerdays there are plenty of ays to stay off the main roads esp inner city where the traffic jams pile up and sometimes it works out quicker to cycle. I can't believe the price of petrol is also one of the reasons to use the bike more . It now costs £40 to fill up with my little toyota whereas only a year ago it cost about £28.!! If it carries on this way I wont be able to afford to run a car so cycling is the best option I think . When the kids get a bit older they can cycle to school and save me doing the dreaded school runs

Yes it's something that crosses my mind frequently, although I haven't been on a bike for over 20 years. They do say it's like, er, riding a bike. Sure I won't wobble all over the place then fall off?

I also have space issues for a bike, buying a shed just to keep it in seems a bit full on!

Anyhow, yes, my brother is a keen cyclist (unfortunately just last week someone broke in their garage, left everything alone including a crate of beer and two motorbikes and stole his and my nephews cycles instead) and that's what keeps him in trim.

So we're on Thursday. Done my 3x with 1 pump class, 1 salsa aerobics class and 1x swim. Got step class this evening and another swim tomorrow morning to make it x5.

Where's everyone else? Everyone doing okay?

I'm not doing very well this week :( OH's kids are visiting and it's a bit awkward to comondeer the TV for an hour so I can do my step-ing. I did do 20 mins just on the board with the radio on but it was hard to keep concentration. Kids go home on Friday so I'll just have to cram all this weeks into 2 days.

:TWell done candlesrus on all the cycling, certainly is the MSE way to stay in trim and SandC you are the class swot doing so many sessions, you are showing me up! :rotfl:

At last I'm back on track this week and I've done my 3 :j. I've been using SKY+ to record stuff of the fitness channels on Sky and been following the big workout. If I do a DVD I have to pull the TV out and swap all the scart leads over at the back of the TV before I can even start then the baby has usually stolen the DVD remote and hidden it somewhere lol. At least with the SKY+ way there's always something different on and its just a case of pressing a couple of buttons to get started. On the downside, I still seem to have no self control where eating unhealthy snacks :( . Well done Candlesrus and SandC - real shame about your brother and nephew's bikes as well.

I know its not technically related to your conversation on you fitness routing but I thought you might be interested in theis competition I found to win a £1000 Trek bike

SandC - I saw that your brother and nephew had theirs stolen so I thought you could tell them about the competition too and you never know, they may win!

Its on a website called Primera - https://www.primera-sports.com

The question is : What cycling team is Lance Armstrong cycling for in 2010?

The answer is : Radioshack (thought I would just tell you as it took me a while looking it up yesterday!)

Why not give that a try? :)

I've done my keep fit DVD 3 times this week. I also walk DD2 to school everyday, a 30 min round trip. I probably need to do a bit more to lose much weight though...:(
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

Walked to town and back this morning after dropping DD2 off at school. This is about 3 miles so I'm counting it as one of my 3.

    Hi can I join you?

I hit the big 40 in September and am trying to get fit and lose weight (slimming world) - particularly as we're off on holiday in two weeks!!

I have my 3 planned for the week and hope to do at least one extra. Last night I was at the gym - did weights, intervals on treadmill and a workout on the treadclimber. Tomorrow I have a spinning class and on Thursday I'm going to boxing for the first time! Petrified about this as it's proper boxing and not boxercise type classes, but my dh has been going since Feb and the amount of weight he's lost is amazing, plus he's getting a 6 pack .

To all those that are weighing themselves and are disappointed with the results, or lack of, then I suggest measuring yourselves with a tape measure. The results will show faster that way.
