I have been really rubbish this week, only managed one as I went for a jog yesterday. Today though I did two parts of the hannah waterman dvd back to back so this week is looking better.

Well done to everyone else for managing it.
    Must try harder.

Hi all, welcome to the new week.

Just done my first for the week, swim this morning.

Rayray I know where you are coming from - I'm not sure about whether the gym scales are actually accurate or not but I weighed myself today and last Monday to see the weekend damage and it appears that anyslight weight loss I had has now been put back on over just 2 days. I say I am dubious about accuracy as it is a fancy one that does BMI etc and therefore does your height as well. I am 5 foot 6 inches tall but it has measured me between 4 ft 11 and as low as 3 ft 5 and never as tall as I actually am.

How disheartening that I had appeared to have a 2lb weight loss on Friday only to put 3 on over the weekend. As it takes 3,500 extra calories to put a lb of fat on I can't see it somehow.

Even so, I know I am treating myself too much at the weekends so that will stop and so will the weighing on a Monday, I will weigh myself on a Friday morning only.

Annoyed with myself for only finding time to fit 2 lots of 'proper' exercise last week, I was just too busy. Only managed one so far this week too. I hope everyone else is doing better. SandC I hope you get the results you want from swapping one of your swim classes, btw the Wii Fit is always telling me a person's weight can vary by 2lb up or down during one day so don't be to disheartened. Skaps, I might do HW DVD again this week, did Davina today but I think the HW is probably more high impact so maybe get better results. I'm put off her DVD by the faces she keeps pulling, especially the one when she says 'the burpee' the combination of her face and the word seems to conjure up images of sick. She seems to be quite unhappy about all of the exercises which I don't find particularly encouraging and I keep thinking that main trainer blokey is very dismissive of her (maybe I'm imagining it). I have to say I still seem to have her 'before' figure with no sign of the six pack bursting through yet but I don't suppose that's too likely when I'm still having trouble giving up the unhealthy snacking :o. I do like the abs section on that DVD, it feels like a proper workout for your abs compared to some other fitness DVDs.
Back on the money saving wagon again!

My living room is a bit prohibitive to do DVDs their proper justice but I have some tae bo ones which certainly get your heart pumping.

Done my 3x already for this week! 1x swim on Monday, 1x swim on Tues (40 mins each) morning and a pump class on Tues eve. I'm hoping to make it 6 or even 7 sessions this week, I need to give myself a kick.

And Kornish I'm only going to weigh myself on a Friday morning from now on!

All 3 done for last week :)

Managed to increase my wii step session by 10 mins so am now doing 60 mins x 3 a week. Not bad for a fat bird who hadn't taken any form of exersice until this time last year.

    Hi
    Can I join please?

I'm trying to lose weight (again:() and my attempts to diet are all over the place but my motivation is always better when I can get diet and exercise going together.

Exercise is usually my exercise DVD or a walk to town and back (about 3 miles). I haven't done the DVD for about a week now and need a kick up the a*** so I'd like to pledge to 3xDVD plus a couple of walks p.w. to get me back on track.

I have about 3st to lose and I would really like to get rid of as much as I can this year.

Well done to everybody whose exercising - I always feel much better when I exercise so I don't know why I don't take more.

    Hi

Skaps - Thank you for adding me to the list but you have added a year to my age! I'm trying to fend off the years here and frankly I need all the help I can get!!

Anyway I have done my DVD today. I have The Power of 3, one of Davina's which I get on with OK. I only do two of the three exercise sections else I tend to get bored - I did legs and tums today. So now to keep going!
