Did another 30 minute workout this morning plus a good run around playing chase with the kids for about an hour at the recreation ground yesterday plus the walk there and back. Might consider getting a pedometer too Candles as I feel like I never sit down so it would be interesting to see how much I am doing in a dayBack on the money saving wagon again!0

Hey SandC!
I have no idea!!! I'm really good at going a jog on a Mon and Wed nights and then just stop the rest of the week then start a Monday the following week - weird!!!
I would LOVE to start going a wee jog on a Thur or Friday morning before work so then i wont have to have the guilt all day about whether to go later on or not!
And swimming... I'm like Forrest Gump i could run all day...although i swim like a 5 year old... i can do about 2 lengths if I'm lucky! Maybe i should make that my 3rd day goal - a day swimming!!

Hi folks, please can I join you! I've never exercised in my life before, apart from a couple of years cycling in my teens - until my bike was stolen!
I've got osteo-arthritis and was told by a consultant 15 years ago to not exercise! As a result I'm overweight and my body is a wobbly, untoned mess! More recently, however, I saw a physio who said medical attitudes have changed and that it's ok for me to do non-weight bearing, low impact exercise!
So, I've been dieting and have lost 20lbs so far and I do two hours gentle exercise class a week, plus two gym visits (exercise bike mostly)! And I enjoy it! I can't believe it! lol!
It'll probably take ages to see any physical results from the exercise, but knowing I'm doing it is really good!
Well done to everyone on the list! Please can you add my name? Thanks0 -
Can I join in too. I am doing no exercise and feel absolutely bone idle. I am spending way too much time on my backside in front of the telly. I am hoping with the lighter/warmer weather I will manage to incentivise myself to get going :j0

Hi red and shirley. Good for you. I've been a lazy !!!! for some years now, to my shame as in my twenties I was so fit and healthy yet still balanced it out with lots of boozy nights out. My thirties it went down the pan.
I've been back into the exercise for more than 4 weeks now and hoping to see some physical results soon. Combined with cut down of alcohol and giving up smoking almost 12 months ago I've already seen my previously raised blood pressure back to normal levels.
My motivation is back but I've joined here to help it stay that way.0 -
Hi SandC - thanks for the warm welcome
You could have almost written my script re 20s and 30s. Now need to get back on track. Will start with a walk at lunchtime today. Will try and do dvd workout or wii fit over weekend. I have all the gadgets just wish I could buy motivation of the shelf too - however this is a start.
Have a good day all :rotfl:0 -
