Well I'm feeling pretty chuffed because last week I managed 4 x 2mile runs and a pole class (so theoretically I was already 2 sessions in credit for this week :D). This week I have managed 3 x 2 mile runs and I will be doing a pole class tonight so that is 4 at least for the week for me.

Just off to polish my halo while it lasts.......
It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :j
    Happiness is not a destination - it's a journey :)
  • Hi all .....3/3 well been very good on the excercise front this week and have managed to do my 3 slots, did spinning class monday - gym tuesday then spinning again on wednesday which may i add nearly killed me. not ideal to do it all at the start of the week but wouldnt have managed it otherwise.

However went out last night with friends and had loaaads of naughty mexican food and a pud... so might have undone a bit of it. Doing my weigh in on monday so hopefully not gone up.

I feel like im really getting into this 3 times a week - it can be hard to fit in somtimes especially as i somtimes do long hours at work but am finding is more acheivable then my old thinking of 'right im gonna go to the gym everyday this week' and then feeling bad for not managing it.

I managed to do my three exercise sessions this week, but they were very gentle.

I have given myself nasty calf strains (possibly from not warming up properly/insufficient stretching/poor technique?) They hurt like hell at the moment, so I am staying pretty much immobile this weekend, have bought some tubigrips and will try to keep them elevated.

I always try to do too much, too soon :o

Hurrah! I did my last of my 3 last night. 72 lengths swimming - seems like a random number but I was put off my game by the man who sat on the edge of the pool and put some latex gloves on before starting his swim! Also have done 1 x gym session and another session of 62 lengths (no latex gloves this time..just in a rush to collect my daughter). Would usually be heading back to the gym tonight but car is in for a service so no way to get there..

Hurrah! one week down (and in fact, i've been doing this for 3 x weeks now and already feeling better)

    Good luck all x

-try some tiger balm rubbed into your calf - i always find it helps ease when i go ott at the gym :)

Edinburgher, I used to always manage to do that - enthusiasm taking over and forgetting that I'd been inactive for so long. Hope you're feeling looser of the muscles soon!

Did my x5 for this week this morning another half hour swim, 35 mins maybe.

I too think it's a good thing to aim for 3 though. I did this morning simply cos I knew I would have to wash my hair this evening anyway before going out and thought I might as well fit a swim in this morning and wash it there instead.

Did 15 mins on the cross trainer yesterday, so thats 2/3 this week.
Though I did only join you on Wed, so not bad and am taking DD swimming today.
Im aiming to do something Mon, Wed and Fri's them swimming on Sat's will be an extra.
    Smile make them wonder
  • I managed my 3/3 :j did DVD workout Weds & Sat and on Friday did a 30 minute walk/jog whilst waiting for DS to do his gymnastics class. Not sure if this really counts as it was a trek to a shop for milk. We usually go on the way home from gymnastics but I thought I'd leave my car there and kill some of the hour he's in there by walking/running to a shop and back. Next week I might go for longer before I actually go into the shop because obviously its harder runing when you're carrying 2 x 4 pints of milk, hence much of the walk part of the walk/run lol. Plus my Davina box set arived hyesterday so might find time to give that a try later!
Back on the money saving wagon again!
