Well I was going to go swimming today but didn't so I finished on 2/3. Rubbish I know. But I'm going to the gym tomorrow: I'm so dedicated I've even charged my ipod :rotfl:

Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o
  • Good luck to you all . Hope you keep it up . I lost about 4 stone since sept and decided I needed to do exercise to keep it off. After trailing round all the local gyms I was shocked at how much gym membership was , cheapest was around £40 a month for a year contract . Apparently most people though who join in January , don't go anymore by March and end up paying for the rest of the year for nothing , so I have an alternative plan . I'm using my Wii fit ( finally got it out of it's box) and then I'm converting my spare bedroom for a home gym/ come bedroom and buying some cheap equipment on ebay , then if for some reason I stop exercising I can re sell the equipment on ebay and recoup my money . In all I will be saving myself in the long run hopefully. My theory is that a little exercise every day would be better than going for it big time for a few weeks and giving it up . I want to make a life long commitment to exercising regularly rather than just a quick fix .

    Hi

I just did the arms and back bit of my yogalates dvd so 1/3 so far this week.

I usually either go gung ho for a few weeks or do nothing at all. I feel a bit of a cheat only doing exercise 3 times a week but it is a nice change from being in agony every day or else feeling really guilty for doing nothing, so thanks for this thread.

Well done candlesrus - 4 stone is quite an achievement! I have lost about a stone since November since I got the Wii Fit and feel stronger too. I previously lost weight through diet alone and it's left me quite wobbly!

  • I finished off last week with a hike up a mountain of a hill! Blooming knackering and my thighs are feeling it today.

The BF is around tonight so I can't do much this eve but I'll be doing Davina Top Fit tomorrow as soon as I'm home with my new dumbells.

You can do more rainbow81 if 3 times a week is not enough for you but at least this way you are more likely to make it a life change. Whats yogalates btw?
