Wonder if anyone can point me in the direction of a cheap GHD stockist?
I've had a look around and the cheapest I've found is £69 for the new 2010 model on GHD555 . com , but I went to pay for them and it wasn't a secure website - has anyone used these before or have any advice on whether to trust the site??
Thanks guys!
Mhairi
Please DO NOT buy from GHD555 because it's a fake website, there was a tv program on this morning and the website was on the tv program, this girl had brought a pair from that website and it melted her hair and left big clumps of hair on the straighteners. They are FAKES! The only proper online trusted website they said was ghdhair, they might be a little bit extra to buy but id rather pay a little bit extra than have my hair melted or house burnt down by these FAKE hair straighteners!!0 -
These seem like good competition for the GHD Mini... good reviews on amazon and only £16!

Nooooo! I used to use a Whal: they are nowhere near as good as GHD IMO. With GHDs I could use them on my hair about once or twice a week and although damaged it was manageable. (These were the days before heat protection sprays!) They were my mum's GHDs I then went on a GHD break, cut my hair short and didn't use straighteners, (was into the bed-head stage!)
Then begain using Whals about a year later? and it took my hair about a month for damage to really show, much quicker then with the GHDs and within about 3 months it was just a birdnest looking mess! It NEVER got that bad with GHDs! Would not recommend Whal unless your only using once a month, they work fine, they straighten fine (though the straighness doesn't seem to hold for the same duration as with the GHDs) but they just damaged my hair so so quickly in comparison to the GHDs I had been using.
Sorry to sound so negative, just feel its better to give my experience! (Review is not posted on Amazon as I didn't purchase them, they were someone elses)0 -

Thank you, I have bought a pair anyway I have really short hair being a male and I think they will be ok. The reviews on there seem good with people saying they are as good as a pair of ghds that they also own. The majority of people seem to be males that are reviewing so they may be experiencing differnt results with shorter hair.If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0 -

niktheguru wrote: »What do you guys think about cloud nine straighteners? I just bought one for my mum after trawling through the internet. Apparently they are from the people who originally came up with GHDs and are supposed to be a bit better (as you can change the heat settings)
I hope i've made the right choice! Will let you know if they're good when they arrive!
Please do. Had a mailing from them for a set for £99 inc designer carry case and mat.0 -

http://www.lookfantastic.com/hair/ghd-haircare/irons/?page=1
these are the cheapest i've seen & its free p&p
genuine site too.
I'm tempted by the GHD IV STYLER PLUS THERMAL PROTECTOR FOR NORMAL/FINE HAIR AND HEAT MAT TRAVEL POUCH deal - seems really good value but does anyone have any views as to whether GHD IVs are as good as the GHD Golds, which I originally wanted?0
