Make sure you read my previous posts about girlznight.co.uk before you purchase from them! :money:
jo4 i hope your still there.. i was wondering were ur ghds from girlznight.co.uk genuine?

i purchased pretty in pink ghds on 17/9/09.. just last week wires were sparking inside them.. i was worried they would go on fire however 2 days later they stopped working completely.. i had the receipt and invoice form so contacted the official ghd website for repair.. they have told me my ghds r fake.. i had no reason to think they may be as the look authentic in everyway.. when purchasing them for £117.95 i checked the official ghd webchecker it stated that girlznight.co.uk were approved ghd retailers. i was happy and confident when purchasing due to this however today on phone to official ghd they said it wasnt a valid approved retailer.. i stated that i done a check before purchasing.. the guy on phone stated definitly not.. i have noticed other people also state that girlznight.co.uk were approved retailers on the site.. regarding this information i decided to do another chek yesterday.. girlznight.co.uk ARE NOT APPROVED!! PLEASE DONT PURCHASE FROM HERE PEOPLE!.. I checked my hologram code and yes they are fake.. official ghd approved a dodgy website .. hence why i purchased from here at all.. i contacted girlznight.co.uk today and they z they are genuine but how can they be.. in my oppinion most definitly fake.. i stated all to guy on phone and he simply said somebody will phone me back.. that was this morning and still no call.. i dont know what i should do.. i shall give it a few days and contact them again.. anybody any similar experience from this site?

Not had any dealings with this site nor the GHD site tbh (aside from the website checker). Are toy saying that girlznight were approved and then were not approved? did GHD change their minds? or were they never approved in the first place? Maybe GHD can help confirm that one.

I'd take it as fraud, especially if they are still going. If they have sold you fakes and gone as far as faking the hologram and are continuing to try to sell, I'd contact Trading Standards first of all. Then Consumer Rights/CAB to see where I stood in terms of a refund: did you pay with a credit card? you may have some sort of a refund clause there otherwise I'd keep on at Girlznight and maybe get the refund in hand first before shopping them to the authorities asap!

i am going to get onto girlznight on monday if they havnt got bk to me by then.. the official ghd website said yesterday it was never an aprroved website.. however it most definitly was.. i was well aware of so many fake sites that i checked numerous times before purchasing.. i have also seen on here and other forums that they were an approved retailer on the webchecker.. however they are not approved now.. im baffled as to the reason why..
yesterday when i contacted the official ghd site.. i told the man on the phone that the site definitley approved girlznight.co.uk at my time of purchase he told me to hold for few minutes while he spoke to a colleague but i wasnt put on hold.. he simply hung up... i will also be contacting ghd also to get to the bottom of this.. i will take the matter as far as i can go with it because i purchased fake ghds from an approved retailer.. girlznight.co.uk is a hair salon based in glasgow.. its not some dodgy fake chinese website so i am completely in disbelief at what has happened me.. fingers crossed this issue gets resolved.. i dont want same thing to happen any1 else hence my reason for joining this site =] il keep posting on my dealings with both partys regarding this matter..

The way both companies are acting is beyond belief! I'd go straight to trading standards. Then the small claims court, it would seem that neither can be trusted to act responsibly or honestly let alone in the benefit of the customer.

What do you guys think about cloud nine straighteners? I just bought one for my mum after trawling through the internet. Apparently they are from the people who originally came up with GHDs and are supposed to be a bit better (as you can change the heat settings)

I hope i've made the right choice! Will let you know if they're good when they arrive!
