They DO have a lifetime guarantee. Mine broke after the 12 months, and I wrote a letter to them quoting some Purchase Act which states that if you buy something at a certain price, they should last for a satisfactory amount of time.
They returned the letter with a new pair of straighteners0 -
I've heard of the Sale of Goods Act but not the Purchase Act. Was that what you meant? Where does it say this?
Perhaps you could post more or less what you wrote for the benifit of others.0 -

My very old GHD's have just gave in. Any ideas on best place to buy currently? I found a website claiming to be an official retailer, https://www.hair12.com however their cheap prices lead me to think they are selling fakes. Any advice?0

Ive had these for literally about 5 years and never had a problem, got them direct from my stylist, they cost me about £120 at the time of purchase but I figured, price per use is pretty good.Won 2012:Bobbi Brown Mascara / TRIA System

It's a Chinese website which means all their products are counterfeit.

The lowest price from a reputable merchant I can find is £82.65 including delivery from Amazon.

The missus swears by Tresemme Heat Defence Spray (Smooth) She used the GHD branded one a few times which was also very good, then moved over the the Tresemme one, her sister inlaw is a professional stlyist and always says that her hair is in excelent condition. I run my hands thru her hair (when she lets me) and have to admit its always lovely!
On the same subject the missus's GHD's are on the way out anyone know any promo codes for the offical GHD site?
