A, Is it possible to get them fixed?

  • I just wanted to post my experience with GHD.

Connection been playing up for a while, turning off and on when I use them, but 6 months out of warranty so ignored. However they stopped working all together last week and when we put in a new fuse they started smoking!!

I contacted GHD and they sent me the postage label so i could send them off even though they weren't in warranty. 3 days later (today) I've just had a phone call to tell me they are posting me a brand new pair!!

    Perfect!

Worth trying your luck sending them off even if you aren't hopeful! I wasn't!

    Hi All,

A friend is trying to buy some GHD's for her daughters birthday but is flummoxed with prices and differences between models.

    Any advice?

    Hi Kiwichick,

The best thing I can suggest is to check out the different stylers here:http://www.ghdhair.com/hair-straighteners to see which ones would be best as they do xwide/mini straightners etc. A standard width straightner should be good for most people.
Then have a look back through this thread to see what bargains might be on at the moment.

You can then check that any deals you find are on a genuine webiste by putting the web address in on this page of the official GHD site:
    http://www.ghdhair.com/help/website-checker

Oh as a side note most of the gift sets come with the standard styler unless is states otherwise :D

Hope this helps but if you;ve got any doubts about a deal you've found please feel free to reply or PM me and I'll try to help :D
Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!?
  • Hi!

I am asking DH for a pair of hair straighteners for Xmas as my old GHDs have finally died after 7 years. I've been browsing internet for reviews, and am not sure whether to ask for another pair of GHDs, or for another good brand such as Cloud 9 or Corioliss.

    Does anyone have any recommendations?

All the models seem to be from £90-£119 so it's not the price comparison I'm worried about (although obviously I will want to buy whatever model i choose at the cheapest price!) - I just want the straighteners that will work the best!

I have naturally wavy/curly hair which is below my shoulders and reasonably thick.

    Any advice appreciated!
