Amazon has been at £83.50 for a while, in the last month occasionally dipping to £80. A few months ago they went as low as £73.89 but nothing like that since. At least you know they won't be fakes!

I was gutted to find my GHD was broken, and even more gutted when I was told by GHD that they were out of guarentee and could not be repaired!
As a scrimper and saver I decided to have a look online to see if there was anyone out there that could repair my GHD.
I came across a company called Ion Originals Ltd, located in the North of England.
They run several GHD repair and spares sites.

You can purchase spares from them to do your own repair, or if you are not very handy you can send them off to be repaired!

All you do is go to the website click on book a ghd repair, then print off the returns for and make the payment (they accept card and paypal). £24.99 for a standard repair (covers all electrical faults), £34.99 if the GHD is cracked/snapped)
You then take them to the post office and sent recorded delivery 1st class, this cost me £3.65.

I send mine on the Monday, they received them on the Tuesday and repaired them and returned them to me the same day, I had them back repaired on the wednesday!
Great service, included PAT test and a 3mth warrenty!

This company also offer a recycle service they pay £20 for MK4 and MK5 GHDs and £10 for MK3 GHD's.

You can also send your GHD in with £30 and exchange it for a new 3.1b styler.

I normally use ebay. There are many (or perhaps just the one!) ebayer who lists GHD fixing, if it works great, if they can't fix them they return them and you get a refund. They have a decent amount of feedback to wade through if you want to and it just feels a bit safer for me because I feel I have more of a say so when paying with paypal.

People applaud when a Union leader says we want better wages for all. Did the poor people that actually made this stuff get paid well, we care about one another afterall don't we? Did they get good paternity leave etc?
