  • I'm laughing my hdead off that there is a whole thread here about GHDs.:rotfl:
Anyway, I bought some Tresemme straighteners off ebay the other day (bargain at £5 second hand) and I reckon they are fab. Don't kow how much they are new but guess they're half the price of the GHDs.

I was in Vegas last week and only saw one pair of pink GHD's that were $240 so not that much cheaper than the UK, plus you would have to change the plug!
  • I bought WAHL straightners from my hairdresser - they are fab!! About £40 (ish) but so far worth every penny..

I priced them in Sephora while i was in the us this summer and it worked out the same price as i could get them for here. So I ended up getting them from boots when i got home, and got the advantage card points along with it :D

  • DO NOT buy them off ebay or Amazon, i bought some off ebay that broke 3 months later, when I contacted GHD with the registration number direct I was told they were fake!! so I lost £70.00 then I bought some off a shop on Amazon for £89.00 and they were delivered last week, I rang GHD to register them straight away and these were also fake!!! GHD have told me if you DO NOT buy them direct from them or from your local approved hairdressing stockist/salon they will more than likely be fake, they have had hundreds returned from AMAZON customers- so please be aware and it is worth spending that bit more to get genuine irons, the fake ones can be very dangerous!!! I have a claim going through with Amazon at the moment to get my money back but they are not being very helpful !!
I hope this helps - Regards Debbie
