while were on the subject, anyone know if they work upto the same heat in north america just using an adaptor?
my partners did not work in america via an adapter when we went on holiday, she has phillips tresemme ones but I think it'd be the same, just to avoid dissappointment, they worked ok when we got back so wasn't a fault.0 -

Ok, Ive massively researched this all day yesterday, so I really hope this helps someone! If you go into boots on one of their advantage nights, you get 1000 points for spending £50. the ghds are £98, so if u just buy something else for £2, you have 2000 points for a £100 spend. I have checked in store and also with customer services that this applies. IE that the points dont jst apply to one transaction if you get what i mean. You also get your normal points that would apply anyway,(400?) This is the equivalent of £24 off. Plus while u r there put your card into the advantage machine and see what other bonus points it might offer you there and then, BEFORE you make your purchase. The stores dnt actually stock them u will have to order it and pay for it there and then. and not all stores let you order the ghds. ring the stores individually, if you look on the website the landline numbers are there under store locator. ring cs on 08450708090 to find out when your local stores have their advantage nights on or ask the stores themselves. I know Manchester Fort and Manchester market st have one 2nite and , and Manchester Fort have another one on Nov 13th, and both these stores allow this facility. Im also happier to buy ghds from boots than from the net, in case anything goes wrong with them I want to argue with someone face to face! Because I get my gas and electric from scottish and southern energy i get acces to a scheme called moneysavers4you which allows me to buy gift vouchers for boots at 8% discount. which means I am going to be getting the ghds for £66! Am well chuffed. Well my daughter will be. But if you use the boots advantage night you will still get them for the eqivalent of £74. Hope this helps! x:T0

You could get another 750 points (for a £75 spend) or if you made the order up to £100 you could use a 1000 point code as well.
Anyone ordering today or tomorrow will get:
*400 basic points
*1500 automatic bonus points
*750 or 1000 points by using one of the codes from this thread:

So potentially 2900 points on your GHD purchase:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -

I've a question - are GHD straightners really worth £100 ish. I saw boots own brand straightners at £9.99, that look exactly like my old GHD pair. What exactly is the difference?0

Go onto the GHD website and enter the code that comes with your GHD's. That way you'll be able to tell if they're fake. If they are PayPal should refund your money. I bought fake ones off a website but my credit card refunded me - Never gonna do that again!!
Good Luck - I hope they are genuine:j0
