I bought a pair of pink GHD's from www.puresilky.com on 7th July. I received a couple of emails from them thanking me for order and then confirming they had received payment. They said I would receive them in 7-10 days. In that time, they have closed their website and haven't responded to any emails.

How do people like this live???!!!!!

I contacted Paypal and they have refunded my money

    Hello,

Am looking to buy some GHD's, just dont know what sort!!! My hair is dead straight anyway and I do have some very cheap hair straightners to tidy it up. Everytime I go to the hairdressers and they use GHD's they are soooooooooooooooooooooo much better. Its recently been my birthday so happy to pay out for the best, the official website for GHD doesnt really give any advice on what to get (mini?, salon? etc). Any advice very grateful:o

Buy the normal ghd IV stylers, They're designed for straightening and styling all types of hair. The mini stylers are aimed at men and people with really short hair (3 inches long at most). The salons are for the other end of the spectrum, people with longer and thicker hair that the normal ghd just cant straighten as easily.

hq hair is also good and trustworthy. i wouldnt trust anyone off ebay, if you get some fake ones the electrics will be dodgy and its not worth it. my friend works for a well known hairdressers and they are not meant to use ghd's, (they are meant to use the own brand!) but they all sneakily use ghd's because, in his words, no others come close. so it is worth spending extra on the real thing! plus they last for aeons!

I have never had any problems sending mine back and receiving a replacement, regardless of age. There has always been a genuine fault, first time the plastic casing holding the ceramic plates cracked, thus causing the plates to fall out, second time the wiring came lose from the plug. Each time a new pair was shipped within 7 days.

    Good luck
    Frizz :D

Ive had my ghds for over 2 years now and dont know where the reciept is. However i still have the box for them. Do you think i'll still be able to send them back? and if so what is the address to send them back to?

Well, I got me the Babyliss Pro 230 straighteners from Tesco and I love them...got points plus extra for paying with a Tesco Credit Card :)

I tried them and personally I thought they worked as well as the GHDs I've tried in the past...was rushing to tell my bf how impressed I was with them and realised I didn't even have it on the highest heat setting!! I def recommend them!

:D (and free postage on orders over £50 this weekend at Tesco too I think...I missed out on that offer).
