I then got some Babyliss pro 2085U 230'C, they are just as good in my opinion! I never liked the Babyliss products but these are amazing and I swear by them now.
They're on Amazon for £36. I'm sure I seen them cheaper in Boots when they were on offer!
Read the reviews on Amazon :)

i Have these and they are fantastic.
you can get them for around £30 in costco, apart from that amazon have good prices on them, they are normally about £75

    hi

can anyone advise here.Just placed an order with https://www.goheyline.com for pink GHDs which I have now realised are not going to be genuine. You could pay by paypal on the order however all they have is my e-mail address, they did not ask me to confirm payment or key in any payment details and there was no secure server whilst payment was processed . It gave an order confirmation which I have e-mailed to the company asking for the order to be cancelled. Does anyone no how this company collects payment.

Why not ask your hairdresser if she is able to get you your GHD's at trade price, as she will most probably be able to! I have a friend who is a hairdresser and she got me mine for £80 brand new from her salon.

I always used GHD'S, but i kept on standing on them and they finally gave up on being glued back together :p my friend who is a hairdresser, and did my hair for my wedding used Corioliss C2, and they are amazing!!!!! They are digital and go down quite low, and as high as 220, not as hot as GHD's, but thet are better imo! They are made of titanium plates and clean your hair as you use them, i brought them as soon as i had money to do so. My hair is very thick, and curly, GHD's used to take me 40 mins to do my hair, and i always had to go over it, with these it takes 15mins tops, dont have to go over until i wash my hair, and they even gets that hairband mark out, they are about the same price if not cheaper, and i highly recommend them :D

I have always had GHD's, but they broke a few months back. I bought a cheap Nicky Clarke pair which broke last week. So i went to argos and bought the Bayliss Pro 230 as they were 1/2 price. I can honestly say they are just as good as GHD, and come with a heat mat and pouch, and clips. I have very thick curly hair and they straighten it so quickly!

    Save your money!

    Totally agree!

I don't use straighteners myself but my daughter has thick, wavy hair and likes the straight look now and again and the Babyliss Pro 230s are brilliant.
  • My best friend is a hairdresser and I know she only uses and recommends GHD's and I'm sure most professional hairdressers would agree.

There are loads on eBay but I would rather buy from a recognised authorised retailer. I've found www.beautyflash.co.uk to be very good - they seem to stock all the range and they do loads of other hair stuff too.
  • my other half has used the majority of the common brands such as babyliss, nicky clarke, remington, toni & guy and a few others, she has thin hair and found most were adequate for her hair type, but after i bought the GHD's for her last xmas she reckons she would never go back, they heat nice and fast, the straightened hair stays straight longer and she can use them to put curls in due to the shape of them (not sure if this is just the pink ones or becasue she has thin hair).

maybe you could find a friend who has some you could try, im a bloke with little hair left so cant comment personally but from what ive seen you get better quality if you pay more, but i also get the impression your hair type (think, thin, curly, stright) will alter the results you get from differnt brands, maybe playing around with a few borrowed striaghtners until you find the most suitable for you would be better than simply buying the most popular or expensive brand would be a better course of action.
