  • I was told by my hairdresser to get some called ghd but she said these are £125 :eek:

Is it worth the price or are there any that are alot cheaper and just as good?

If not can I get them any cheaper than that?

    Many thanks

You have posted on the Grabbit board. This is not a Grabbit.

I use Kodo straighteners, my last pair finally gave up last week after five years. I bought the Kimono ones to replace them for £60ish.

I have tried ghd's, but they are no better than Kodo's. Many professional stylists use Kodo's.
    Gone ... or have I?
  • Thanks

Sorry not sure where to post, still learning on here, it's so massive this site :o

Definitely get GHD's if you can afford them.

Have to agree with BettiePage. I bought cheaper hair straightners, but they dont compare with GHD's. My friend's have had their GHD's for over 5 years and use them daily with no probs. I'd say they are worth paying the extra!!
:j Bought all my presents for this year (birthday and Christmas) now starting on next years!!:j

beyond skint, there are many posts here re straighteners - it's been asked loads of times :)http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=308870&highlight=best+hair+straighteners

These were posted on the 'I wanna' board and I used the search facility at the top of the page (remembering to change to 'forum' rather than 'main site' )

It takes a little time to get used to the boards (welcome to them, by the way :) ) but it's always better to do a search in case the question or offer has been posted before.

***forgot to say i bought my daughter Mark Hill ones and they were great - her friends borrow them and have found them the best but I think the latest ones only go up to 210C. ***

GHD's are fab - I have very curly frizzy hair and bought the wide plates (Salon type) worth the extra money.

Lots of copies about so make sure when you do buy you buy from a trusted seller.
I bought direct from GHD £130 with next day delivery and a few freebies, hope this helps :-) :o

I would have to disagree with the GHD fans!
I used some of my friends GHD's a few years ago and I was really impressed, but could not afford them. I then got some Babyliss pro 2085U 230'C, they are just as good in my opinion! I never liked the Babyliss products but these are amazing and I swear by them now.
They're on Amazon for £36. I'm sure I seen them cheaper in Boots when they were on offer!
Read the reviews on Amazon :)

My friend had some kodo's and hers blew up ^^ Not saying there all like that though!
I would get some GHD's if you could afford them, but i cant and so i have to make do with my Rimmel ones. My hairs really thick and a buggar to straighten, but they seem to work just fine.
