    hi,

I bought a ghd from puresilky.com, not realising that its fake. I only realised it when I failed to register it on GHD site. Now, how do i get my money back, the trader does'nt respond back to any emails/messages and there is no other way to reach. (I payed through paypal and i do have the shipping details with his account details with city link couriers) Can this be tracked through payapal records or city link records???? How do I get a refund?
    Pls help!!

    https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/cps/securitycenter/buy/Protection

Sounds like the item is 'significantly not as described' as it was not a ghd product.
I haven't read all of it but from that I'd guess paypal might be able to recover the amount from the seller, but only if they have it in their account. Worth a try.

I emailed them about http://www.ghd-uk.co.uk yesterday, haven't heard back yet though. A lot of people have said ghd don't even reply to emails.

I was going to get them or jshankey (?) but the 'free delivery' doesn't include packaging, which is £5 extra. Thought it was a bit sneaky of them to add that at the checkout so I'll probs get them off ghd-uk if they're authentic.

I bought GHDs from Jason Shankey earlier this week as my existing pair have developed a fault. The price does include free next day delivery by Citylink courier. When you add the item to your basket and then checkout it gives you the option to pay a further £5 to get delivery by Royal Mail Special Delivery which is between 09.00 and 13.00 next day. If you ignore this box and don't tick it your order will be processed and sent by courier next day, although the time isn't specified. I rang and clarified this with their customer service. I placed my order at 14.30 and they arrived at 09.30 next day. I use Jason Shankey quite a lot and after researching all the prices I thought it was the best deal around and a trusted source. If you see a good offer and are unsure you should ring GHD customer service and they will advise if they are genuine retailers or not. Hope this helps.

So they're definitely genuine from that site? I thought they would be because they seem to be the most trustworthy suppliers I've seen so far. But it does add £5 on at the checkout for packaging, and the option for special delivery which is another £5 if I wanted it. Might just go with it anyway.

There's a 20% off code flying around for HQ Hair.

Not sure if this can be used in the outlet or not but would make them around £85

the codes dont seem to work...also does Hq hair sell genuine ghds?

Just checked, www.ghd-uk.co.uk are approved, they're the cheapest I've found that seem official.
  • omg feeling very ashamed as have just read previous posts that suggest the straightners i am waiting for are going to be fake!

has anyone managed to get money back from puresilky or paypal! Thanx

hey guys i recieved the straighteners today, 10 days after i bought them... they seem fine but the ontly thing that is worrying me is that there is no hologram on them... the one that was on there has been removed as you can still see a sticky patch on where it was. i am in the process to contacting ghd to see if they are real as you can check the authenticity of them.

Hi. I brought from gohaironline and find myself in exactly same situation. I have received the straighteners but Im wary they are not real ghd's. Ive emailed the company and they have said if I return them they will refund me.
ghd said they are not an approved seller and have had problems with them i the past.

The code for HQ Hair doesn't work for GHDs - anyone else know a good deal?? I was hoping to get a discount code and pay about £80??? or is that wishful thinking??
