I ordered mine from www.ghd-uk.co.uk and they came today, just registered them and they're genuine. Came to £99.99 altogether which suits me as my budget was £100, and I got the spray protector and heat mat with it too. I'd recommend this site.
  • Hi
My mum ordered some straighteners for me from Pure Silky last Monday, and guess what... we haven't had them!
Just filed a complaint with PayPal - fingers crossed we'll get the money back now!

  • Quick update - just had a message from the owner of Pure Silky. Apparently I should be getting them early next week... which is out of the 7-10 days i was promised. Also, they've been shipped from Shanghai, which only leads me to the conclusion that they are, indeed, fakes.

  • I recieived my GHD's yesterday from China. I soon as I saw them I realised they were fakes. They didn't even turn on. I have contacted by email the company, but am not happy that they are not willing to pay for the postage when they are faulty, let a lone fakes. I have contacted paypal and they said that their protection doesnt cover these goods. I'm happy to return them to China but am doubtful as to wether the return address even exists! When I contacted GHD they said to return the straightners to them and they said they would see what they could do, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they can help
  • I have spoken to GHD today on 0845 330 1133 as i wanted to check if www.puresilky.com were a genuine site, Ther are not a GHD recommended stockist, The lady on the phone told me one of the ways to identify these fraudulent sites are if they are selling the straighteners in pink as they are no longer available in pink brand new. They also gave me a few reccomended stockist: -

    www.Hair-care.co.uk
    www.Lookfantastic.com
    www.Hqhair.com
    www.Jasonshankey.co.uk
    www.Hair-care.co.uk

    Hope this helps

Hi there is another thread running at the moment regarding GHD's relating where to buy them and how much - i bought them through exclusive brands 2 weeks ago at £109 which came with the mat and spray. I went through quidco and am awaiting £8.80 cashback and these were the real thing! Tried all over the web and high street to get a good price and this was the best i could find. Delivery only took 2 days and had to be signed for.

There's bargains and then there is just daylight robbery, surely everyone must realise by now that all of these companies selling from China are selling fakes..

Hi. I brought from gohaironline and find myself in exactly same situation. I have received the straighteners but Im wary they are not real ghd's. Ive emailed the company and they have said if I return them they will refund me.
ghd said they are not an approved seller and have had problems with them i the past.
    .

Look carefully at the price you have paid - this site is changing its name daily, to try and avoid getting caught. 7-10 shipping is a usual sign that its a counterfeit site.
