I don't want to rain on anyones parade but i phoned and GHD don't recognise these stockists, claiming they have had the site shut down 5 times for selling fake goods, and this site is another version of previous sites with different names.
Have you had them authenticated by GHD?

    www.puresilky.com
    http://www.target-ghd.com
    http://www.gohaironline.com
    www.silkylustre.com
    http://www.ghds-mk4.com

These sites have all been verified as selling counterfeits. The clue is that they are all based in China. "GHD is a UK based company" who do not manufacture in China or ship products from their.

If you think you are getting a ghd bargain below £90, then think again you may well have purchased a fake.

dont think that because these sites appear in the sponsored links section on google that they are legit.

So beware and spread the message.

I would rather pay full price (for once) than get ripped off.

If you are still in doubt call ghd to check 0845 330 1133

Hi all! Sorry if im repeating whats already been said but i just couldnt read thru all the posts!

I used to work at a Keith Hall salon which used GHD's when they first came out, and they kept blowing up, we had 4 pairs and only 2 were ever in use at one time! I know they have changed them now as they were on watchdog so there prob better but its just put me off you know??!

Anyway, the salon switched to using Kodo's as there exactly the same, they get just as hot etc etc. I have extremely thick and wavy hair (seriously wether i dry naturally or blow dry it turns into a bush!)
Kodo's can be bought from hair and beauty suppliers for about £45 which is what i paid for them.
I've had mine about 5 going on 6 years now and they still get my hair sleek as well as curling it!

There's a 20% off code flying around for HQ Hair.

Not sure if this can be used in the outlet or not but would make them around £85

    hi,

I bought a ghd from puresilky.com, not realising that its fake. I only realised it when I failed to register it on GHD site. Now, how do i get my money back, the trader does'nt respond back to any emails/messages and there is no other way to reach. (I payed through paypal and i do have the shipping details with his account details with city link couriers) Can this be tracked through payapal records or city link records???? How do I get a refund?
    Pls help!!

I emailed them about http://www.ghd-uk.co.uk yesterday, haven't heard back yet though. A lot of people have said ghd don't even reply to emails.

I was going to get them or jshankey (?) but the 'free delivery' doesn't include packaging, which is £5 extra. Thought it was a bit sneaky of them to add that at the checkout so I'll probs get them off ghd-uk if they're authentic.
