BeatThatQuote.com refusing cashback
Comments

            Hi there,
I'm kinda new at using cashback websites etc but I tried to take Martins advice and checked beatthatquote.com who offered the cheapest and £25 cashback.
However when I checked the policy documents to look at them they were out of date. February 2011.
This has just concerned me a little bit and it might sound silly but if I purchase the insurance through these will I definately be insured?
Is it ok to buy insurance through a different site?
Has anybody used these and was everything ok on the insurance side of things?
 Thanks so much in anticipation!!
Maz XxA lot of fellows nowadays have a B.A., M.D., or Ph.D. Unfortunately, they don't have a J.O.B."0

I thought about using a cashback site to get my car insurance, in the end I just decided to pay the full price and save the bull*hit and stress. All this hassle and waiting to get £25, if you ever get it, I really can't be bothered to play silly games with faceless flybynight companies, life is too short.0

Yeah i'm thinking the same thing too!! It's probably not worth the hassle to save a few quid and earn £25!!A lot of fellows nowadays have a B.A., M.D., or Ph.D. Unfortunately, they don't have a J.O.B."0

If you can be bothered chasing them for your cashback then go for it, however it has been a bit of a pain as you can read from my previous posts. It became more a matter of principle to me rather than the money if you know what I mean. I was pretty annoyed that a website would so clearly offer something then not bother to follow through with that offer. I'm still waiting on the money, have been told I'll get it on 16th April. We'll see what Friday brings shall we!!
As for the actual insurance side of things I haven't had a problem. Last year (before using beat that quote) I was with another "cheap" insurer. After a car accident which caused quite a bit of damage that was another drivers fault, I got my car repaired and a curtosy car for 7 days and it didn't cost me a penny, the other driver paid.
Although I'm not sure what would happen if it was your fault!!!0

I received an email from BTQ 29th September saying: "We are pleased to confirm that your claim has now been approved. We will now be arranging to credit your bank account and will write to you again shortly."
I have never been contacted since.
I have sent two emails enquiring about when I will receive my cashback to no avail. Come on BTQ!0

I have had exactly the same experience with this lot of charlatans. I was promised £35 cashback when I used their service to compare and switch energy company back in June. I received an email from them on the 10th October with a ref. no stating that my claim had been approved and that they would be writing again to me shortly about arrangements to credit my bank account. Since then nothing. They do not reply to emails and do not even think of ringing their phone number 0800 599 99 55 (option7) because no matter what time of day you try all you get is a recorded message that all agents are busy but if you leave your details they will ring you back in 30 minutes. THEY NEVER DO!
If you are looking for cashback on any transaction my advice would be to avoid BTQ at all costs and look elsewhere0

I purchased my car insurance via BTQ this year. The offer was for a £30 Argos voucher. That made BTQ the cheapest option.
I had to wait 3 months before claiming and did so in September. The only response was an email claiming that I had used the wrong claim form and that I need to email someone specific (with an @google.com address) to get the right form.
I've done that twice now with no reply.0

            Hi There
Strangely enough I had a reply to my last email just this last Friday but only to say quote "I'm happy to confirm that your claim has been agreed and is currently being processed by our financial department with a payment date to be confirmed". What is so difficult about such a simple operation as processing a bank transfer to my bank details of which BTQ were given with my original dealings with them. BTQ are obviously experts at procrastination but as a matter of principle I am not going to let up even though it is a hassle. They have a short breathing space now to pull their finger out before I decide whether to take this to Watchdog or the local trading standards officer (or both) and I will if it come to that. I hate being ripped off in this fashion0

@yesbut: I'm sorry for the difficulties you have been experiencing. I appreciate you have not been able previously to speak to us on 0800 599 9955, but could you try again so we can find your details and investigate? For obvious reasons I won't ask for these details on a public forum.
@AllanRock: The link for the Argos claim form is https://compare.argoscompare.co.uk/capture/offers/motor_insurance/offers_details - if you experience difficulties, please call us on the same number as above - 0800 599 9955.“Official Company Representative

Thanks for your response. I phoned the number you gave me and got the same recorded message and as expected nobody returned my call. I did however get another email stating that my claim has been processed and my bank account will be credited within 30 days, yes you read it right 30 days!. So I read that as it hasn't been processed at all otherwise the £35 would be on its way to my bank. Delay, delay, delay. Unbelievable! Come on BTQ transfer what you promised and what I am owed to my bank today.0
