definatley not my children, there only 7, 5, 3!! we have only had one item delivered had nothing on any other transactions and this silly data protection act, they cant tell me what was ordered or where it was sent, how silly is that.

just an update that left me fuming, i had a phone call from EGG CC (might aswell name them) fraud department saying that they have closed the investigation because they believe the transactions all to be genuine, and the reason they say ths is that that the Same IP address is also on some transactions that we have said are ok. I mentioned could that be at a internet cafe in london perhaps and he said that two stores, the hut and someone else cant remember now but they had to go via the secure visa second password which they have got. I asked if they have my card details could they have got my pasword and he said you have never changed your password, and i replied that i wasnt asked to and just kept it the same. He said as far as fraud are concerned the matter is closed, he said its not possible for a virus software to be on the computer and then get my password and then use it on another computer (i'm gussing here because i was losing the will to live with all this terminology) but if someone did use a virus there would be another IP address whereas this was the same. (he hasnt even said that IP address was mine to start off with.
I'm completely dumbfounded by it all as i dont really know my way around computers i dont feel i can argue my case strongly enough and i 'm no paying for some light fingered (XXXXX) shopping spree on my card, this has been on going for three months and now this. I said we havent had any of the goods delivered here so they must have gone elsewhere and he said that when he checked with the hut and the other shop there was only m home address, i dont know if that has have my home address to start with so it matches my card details, there are so many possibilities i dont know where to start. I suppose have to be thankful that its about £300

You said earlier............ "(a dvd was sent to us from woolworths and i phoned them and said i didnt order it and they replied asking em to send it back, i did and they refunded me) it now looks as if that was possibly the first dodgy transaction because form the statement they all followed pretty quickly after that."

Why would anyone who may have had access to your card details have the items they bought have had them sent to your home address and not sent to either there own address or a drop off address?

i have no idea:money: to be honest, when i mentioned to MBNA about it they said the fraudsters will use different tricks to try cards etc, they use a £1 transaction to test my card and i really dont know maybe they were trying my card first, there was some amazon transactions and they informed me because i made the mistake of saying my credit card is checking into them that there were items sent to an address in Hull (i'm in essex) , plus i sent the woolworths back and they refunded me, non of it makes much sense.

    Ask them for

The ip addresses, the time, date, delivery address of transaction (contact the companies involved).

If they won't investigate, then it's up to you to produce enough evidence to make them, and log a complaint.

If you didn't do it, don't give up.

Run a malware scan, malwarebytes etc.

This is unlikely to be anything to do with wireless hacking, could be a mistake, insider, maybe the ip addresses you said are ok, are mixed up.

Stranger things have happened. Not so long ago a 3 year old bought a $20,000 digger at an online auction!

actually i cant remember what it was now, its wasnt a childrens dvd from memory. Our children dont really have access to the laptop. I tried contacting one of the stores (amazon) and they wouldnt give me any details about who it was delivered to saying that if we gave you an address i could go round there and do something and they cant be held responsible, how stupid is that! apparently on another forum they said that if the companies cannot provide a signature the next stage is to dispute the transactions:confused: not sure what that means but i'll ring the cc today and ask them if i can do that, although i thought thas what i had already done.

another qestion, if i ask the credit card for the IP address that matches, do think i can go to 02 to ask if they have ever allocated that IP address to me? can the CC legally not tell me?

I already explained how O2 IP addresses work many posts back. If the same IP was used for all those transactions check it against your current IP (easiest way - http://www.whatismyip.com/ ) if it is the same then the orders were placed using your ADSL connection. If they vary then it almost certainly wasn't your connection.

If your connection made the transactions then there are 3 possibilities..

Someone with physical access to a computer on your network placed the orders.
    Someone hacked into your WiFi.
Your machine has some malware on itand is being used remotely.
