Up to last Friday (16 January) there had only been 12 triggers reached for a Cold Weather Payment in the whole of Great Britain since the current 2014/15 CWP season started on 1 November 2014.

The areas recording a trigger are all in Scotland.

Weather station / Number of triggers

    Aboyne 2
    Aviemore 2
    Braemar 2
    Cassley 1
    Eskdalemuir 1
    Loch Glascarnoch 2
    Tulloch Bridge 2

    Total 12

see page 7 of the current Cold Weather Payments weekly update report by the DWP

    https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/cold-weather-payments-10-to-16-jan-2015

The above doesn't include any triggers reached since Monday.

It looks like the Cold Weather Payments checker tool has been playing up if one minute it is advising a trigger has been reached and then the next it is advising none has been reached.

Well that sucks, also back to 0.

It has been really cold and two payments would have really lifted a lot of the worry about using the heating :(

Will be googling for the pdf (seems to publish weekly) and not relying on that postcode checker in future!

My Dad's postcode says that there have been no triggers, between November and 21st January, which is odd because he has been paid £25 CWP this week!

That site is not very accurate!

    Lin :)
You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

The weekly Cold Weather Payments reports can all be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/cold-weather-payments-statistics-2014-to-2015

The page usually has the latest report (dated to the previous Friday) available on a Wednesday afternoon.

It's a shame about the CWP checker tool becoming unreliable - it used to normally be accurate and back in Winter 2010/11 when triggers almost everywhere in the country were being reported on what seemed like a weekly basis for almost two months from December 2010 to January 2011 it was very reliable without any problems being reported.

The links given by Robbie64 are accurate - to date there have been no triggers outside Scotland.
