Cold weather payments: quickly check if you're entitled

TN2 area says 2 triggers! but didn't think that cold!! How do you find out the 'tower' for your area?

I think (could be wrong) they use the Met Office stations, if you look up your local weather (enter you post code) on the BBC weather site, then under the "Observations" section on the right it will state the observation station used (ie the nearest). Probably not infallible but couldn't find a simple search for nearest station on the Met Office site, just a non zoomable map of stations that hasn't been updated for two years.

The support group can be contribution based or income based the poster doesnt say which so could well be entitled

youre right.
i got to the bit that said 'not income' and my brain said 'not income related' whereas the poster actually said 'not income support'

I checked earlier today and said one trigger for payment for my area, checked again this evening and has changed back to none!

how strange. i checked my area earlier and it said 2 payments, but has now changed to none.
