TN2 area says 2 triggers! but didn't think that cold!! How do you find out the 'tower' for your area?0

I checked if i was due a Cold Weather Payment, this morning. This morning, there had been no qualifying periods.
This afternoon, there are 4 qualifying periods of Cold Weather.
It seems their website has finally been updated?0 -
I think (could be wrong) they use the Met Office stations, if you look up your local weather (enter you post code) on the BBC weather site, then under the "Observations" section on the right it will state the observation station used (ie the nearest). Probably not infallible but couldn't find a simple search for nearest station on the Met Office site, just a non zoomable map of stations that hasn't been updated for two years.lukieboy96 wrote: »TN2 area says 2 triggers! but didn't think that cold!! The support group can be contribution based or income based the poster doesnt say which so could well be entitledyour daughter wouldn't receive one ( assuming the weather was cold enough) because of the reasons you mention.
she would have to be getting income based benefit B]

Hi,can someone clear up a disagreement i am having with a friend, she reckons my Daughter should receive a cold weather payment due to the fact that shes on DLA and ESA support group.
but i have tried to explain to her that she dosnt get it because shes not on income support and the fact she lives at home with me and i am working.
ESA support group income based will get cwps. if contribution based she wont
