For people who need to confirm whether they are entitled to a CWP or they need to chase up payments, pop your postcode here
    http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/JCP/Aboutus/Ouroffices/Search/LocalOfficeSearch.aspx?type=2&name=Benefit%20Delivery%20Centre
and you will find the number for your local BDC.
Got the number from a previous letter they sent me. Problem is getting them to answer & as alternative number not working having to pay for the privilege of being kept waiting:mad:

already had 1 on wednesday so should get other in a week or so

The Met Office have notified the Department for Work and Pensions that 2 periods of very cold weather have occurred in the WN8 postcode area between 1 November 2009 and 15 January 2010, triggering Cold Weather Payments.
If you have qualified for Cold Weather Payments since 1 November 2009 and live in this postcode area, you are due to receive 2 Cold Weather Payments.
Please bear in mind that you should not expect payment immediately. It normally takes up to 12 days to process a payment.

  • i got a call back today saying the reason i havn't had my payment is because it says we dont have any children.we've got a 3 year old daughter and we recieve child benefit and child tax credits for her so she didn't have a clue why they thought that.she said i might have to fill in a form confiriming that we have a child.
