nor have any side visionbecause i have front and rear heated screens and don't scrape nor use de-icer.0 -
Because the last few times I've tried de-icer, its just done half the job and then left frozen ice/de-icer on the windscreen which I then have to scrape off anyway. Unless its rained and then frozen (so the car is covered in a sheet of hard ice) the powdery stuff scrapes off nicely if you have a decent scraper.Adventure before Dementia!0

de icer contains alcohol which with prolonged use/exposure to the rubber seal around your windscreen will perish it. Its also more efficent to use luke warm waterEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0

Why do people stand there with a scraper scraping the ice away all you need to do is buy de-icer and spray it on. Its much quicker and easier! No need to scrape.
Why do people stand there spraying de-icer over their windscreen, when all you need is a bucket of warm water? Its much quicker and easier! No need to spray.0 -
because then you'd be spending money on heating the water to pour over the windscreen, along with the wasted CO2 production required to produce the energy to heat the water?0
