In the absence of a scraper this year (mysteriously vanished from the boot) I'm finding that my credit card is making a wonderfully effective temporary scraping device.

Why don't people clear all the crap out of their garage and put their car in it at night?
It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical

Why don't people clear all the crap out of their garage and put their car in it at night?

    Two reasons!

    1) Where does all my crap go then? The house isn't big enough or particularly suited for the storage of bikes, wheelbarrows, spades, pots and all the other garden crap we seem to have accumulated*

    2) The garage isn't big enough for a car. Its a free standing 1930s one, which I could probably squeeze the car into but then I wouldn't be able to get out :rotfl:

*A shed you say? It'll never catch on........

de icer contains alcohol which with prolonged use/exposure to the rubber seal around your windscreen will perish it. Its also more efficent to use luke warm water

last night we came out of a panto to be only one car of about 4 in a packed car pack who did scrape it - everyone else used cans of de icer and we commented on why neither of us had cans in our cars - hubs reasons was the one above
i didnt really have a reason just never used it so never bought it
