    25 email in your inbox :T:T I am for under 300 :o but in the old job that was less than a day's email - maybe I should try for 25 in the new job as I don't get nearly as many (and lots of them seem to be chat/discussions which should be read and digested as and when they turn up)

    I try! I don't always achieve it, but i do have a lot of folders and subfolders...gave up counting at 140!!! :rolleyes:

  • pigpen I also don't agree with what you say. ME and CFS are both recognised as illnesses by the medical community after peer-reviewed research.

    Don't take pigpen too seriously on this... she's not very keen on doctors, so if she denies that she's ill then she doesn't have to see them :rolleyes:.

    Trying to make space on my desk so I can work... and get hold of the colleague who offered to help me out this morning and then promptly disappeared from IM...:mad: Mind you, he could be having the same problems with VPN as me... too many people working from home I think!

    Now don't be silly.. I'd have to believe in something in order to be able to contract it.. My throat is feeling a touch better today but I still just want to sleep... after getting up late as it was! Plus that was 7 months ago.. if I was going to get anything related to that it would have happened months ago

    LARGE SNOWBALL THROWN AT PIGPEN!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

    How dare you? I know this thread resolves around you and I know you're not feeling well but my eldest has had ME since she was 15 and her relapse of the past 2 years has been the most horrendous thing to watch!

    I am absolutely furious at your comment - you may not believe in ME but I deal with it's daily consequences!

    Having read loads and loads of research papers and info and diaries of those affected I actually believe the illness named ME is a manifestation of other underlying undiagnosed illnesses therefore as a stand alone illness isn't truly valid.. as do many other leading professionals into studies of the problems associated with it, which I am sure you are most brutally aware of. It doesn't occur without other primary causes.. such as virus/mental illness/severe illness/auto-immune impairment, etc.

    I didn't say it isn't affecting lives and people all over the world.. I said I don't think it is an actual illness.. and I quite steadfastly stand by that, people don't just suddenly wake up one day and get diagnosed with ME, they are ill with other stuff for a while and this kind of piggybacks on that.. like a parasite effect, almost.

    True I don't have first hand experience at dealing with those who are living with it, though I would be most interested to be.. that sounds a bit 'wrong'.. but isn't meant to... I wouldn't wish anyone on the planet to be ill with anything (apart from the 3 people I would happily kill with my own bare hands) but I would be interested in watching the progression if that makes it sound any better.. :confused:

    I hope this explains my feeling better and I am sorry you were upset, I didn't mean to cause offence.. xx

    Though I will admit my actual post was based on the 3 year olds notion of.. if I can't see it it isn't there.. you know when they shut their eyes and think you can't see them.. Triker would know this.

    Indulge me, I'm going to have a newbie gush.
    I've just done my S&S Kitchen in less than four minutes and thanks to the work of yesterday it looks amazing again and I'm so pleased and proud. I know it makes complete sense but sometimes it really feels like an uphill struggle getting this place straight and keeping it there and in the first flush of following this thread I feel that it actually might be do-able.

    Thank you. Off to make magic in the hall and the stairs - there are three floors to this house, I may be some time.
