Jilld, re Disney, my recommendations are NEVER go at christmas, good walking shoes, sun hats and sun cream, plenty of water.

I would highly recommend going in October. It is not quite as hot as summer but still more than hot enough for us! It doesnt rain as much as in the summer and its cheaper/less busy than at peak times.

Have been out all morning shopping. Have bought myself a beautiful new coat in the sales. Got my one delivered from next yesterday and it was made of yucky polyester. Unfortunately you dont find out the material in the sale descriptions. New one is bright orange and is wool/cashmere. Its so pretty!

Just had a quick bite to eat and will fly before i have to pick LO up from school.

Afternoon all, nearly put morning there. Boys have a snow day, both this time. Snow is pretty bad but !!!!!! it's only snow. I see a similar conversation been going on here. My parents didn't have a car either so we lived within walking distance of Dad's work (not that long ago) my Dad got his first car when I was about 15 so not used to this 'it's snowing can't get to work' culture. I offered to take DS1 as taxi refused to come, initially they said ok but 15 minutes later they closed, local schools closed too so distance makes no difference I'd have driven them there. If people lived where they worked or worked where they live it would be easier. My Mum's family live in Canada and the teachers if they can't get to the school they work at they go to the closest one and work there, same with firemen, police men etc how sensible  don't even get me started on RWD owners who expect their car to be sensible in this sort of weather, something people should consider when buying a car is what they are using it for.

Moan over, off to measure for curtain rails, need something to keep house warmer
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

    Afternoon all

    Tuesday's and Wednesday's lists complete ;)

One load of washing spread round indoors, I think it has finally stopped snowing (about 5 minutes ago). I've cleared the path from the back door to the gate so I should be able to get out for work tonight, I may resalt the path later this afternoon.

Going to try to catch up a bit while dinner is cooking - hope your DH is improving Helen (Haven't checked anything yet).
