afternoon everyone i walked up to the shop with dd1 and dd2(18 mths) so it was quite a long walk:rolleyes: and then took them sledging which lasted all of ten minutes as dd2 kept falling over in the snow and was soaked through so brought them back and we all had some nice warm drinks to get ourselves defrosted. dd2 is having her nap so will give her something to eaat when she wakes up. Im not sure what to do this afternoon as i have already made tea for tonight so i guess i will see if there is any jobs for me to do ( I can't hoover under the sofa as dd1 playing in the lr and she is quiet so i won't disturb her;).I am qite bored today:rolleyes:*wonders off to see if there is something i can do*My goal this year is to be more orginised and start leading a healthy life.xx0 -

Had a friend round for coffee and another neighbour fetched a loaf of bread for us (they were going to see what conditions were like and offered
) Decluttered the mantle which looks LOADS better, I even dusted it
. Been generally dot2dotting the rest of the time.
Kids out playing in the snow and it is snowing again, just as I thought it might be thawing here it has started to snow again, coming down quite quickly and thickly too.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

Helen, sending you big hugs and thinking of you.
Been out in the snow with the kids this morning and it's now snowing again. Feeling a bit low today (suffer from depression); even some more chocolate cheesecake didn't helpFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

Things are still crossed for your DH Helen - it's making walking in the snow very difficult!!
Joining the snow debate - I've no problem with the school being closed. Some of our teachers live 20 minutes away in a car but in rural places (one lives at the bottom of a very steep, ungritted hill). Buutttttttttttttttttttttt -
Rant number one - why do people go out in the snow when it's so icy. We came across an elderly lady who was walking along clutching the fences of the houses. I took her home and we went and got her 'bits' for her. It was then that I saw how essential her shopping was - milk, kitkats and sherry!:rotfl:Why didn't she say she needed alcohol - I'd have understood!:rotfl:. It's such a shame so many people don't look out for their neighbours in this weather.
Rant number two: I got to our local Tesco and the lady in front of me put 12 x 4 pints of milk in her trolley!!! I bought the pint of milk the lady wanted and a four pint carton of milk for us. This left 2 x 4 pints on the shelf. Did she really need to buy all that milk???? As I was leaving the shop I heard people arguing and it was the milk lady and an elderly gentleman who'd gone in for milk. She said she 'needed it so she could freeze some so she wouldn't run out' - why are people such selfish pigs!
Ok, I'm calm again :rotfl:.
We were out in the snow for two hours! It was fun!
I've now got 7 children. Fed them all ham sandwiches (including the child who's mum had bought him cheese strings, crisps and white bread because he wouldn't eat what I'd provide:rotfl:). They all ate everything though when this lads mum phoned for the 8th time to check on him she didn't believe he'd eaten homemade wholemeal bread! Oh he did:D. The conversation went through the usual:
Him - I don't like that
Me - don't eat it then
Him - can I have crisps like the others
Me - only if you put them in that sandwich and eat them like that
Him - Ok. :rotfl::rotfl:
Oh I'm soooooooo mean!
The next game we're playing is that old favourite - find a box with 'Christmas Decorations' on it and pile them up neatly in the bathroom (where the attic hatch is). :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:xx
Ooops sorry, I forgot the flying bit:
HHC 2pm until 230 - anyone up for it?0 -
