Phew, spent several hours in the kitchen but I have produced a lovely chicken soup and a nice big chicken and veg pie.

Washed bedroom curtains as they were mouldy and want to eliminate as much mould from our room before baby has to sleep in it. Unfortunately they say Dry Clean Only... washed them on the woolens cycle but at 90 to kill the mould spores, can't bleach due to colour. Will also have to TD them to get back up this evening. Fingers crossed they survive cos I can't get out to buy any more!

    Wednesday

Washing - fold and put away
    Over halfway through the mountain
    [STRIKE]Wash bedding and/or curtains[/STRIKE] we'll see if they survive
Clear cupboard under sink (if feeling very brave)
    Clear top of bookcase
    [STRIKE]Wash up
    S&S kitchen[/STRIKE]

    [STRIKE]
    Make chicken stock
    Do something with leftover chicken...[/STRIKE]

    Happy birthday, Greenbee! :bdaycake:

DS1 has given up his laptop again for a bit. DH is at work (trains seem to be running fine) and I'm at home with both kids. I think one reason why schools appear to close so easily is to do with today's litigation culture.

Could I teach classes at the comp in the village? Yes, but without knowing what students have previously covered and what they need to move on to, it really would be pretty much a waste of time. Also, someone has already mentioned safeguarding and CRB checks. It would just be too much of a risk.

My list isn't shrinking as quickly as I'd like. :o

    Hi all,

Sorry not around much. We have had more snow, not surprisingly!
Still haven't been out for .. seems like forever.......

I have been following the lists but haven't been feeling chatty.
Today I have got DH to get all the boxes out of the loft and I am sorting out loads of things to give away. Yesterday I decluttered all the Christmas cards and stamps to a charity, and unwanted wools to another.

I am getting loads of decluttering done each day. Also trying to put things together for ebaying.

I had a friend call in for half an hour today which was an unexpected and much needed visit:) Still smiling!

    Happy Birthday Greenbee!!:bdaycake:

Very tired, snow day must be affecting my brain, going down to the local shops in a moment to get some marg, want to use up some ripe bananas and make cakes (will make one for school tomorrow in the hope that we go back!

Have done no flying today so far, feeling a bit groggy, might feel a bit more like moving after a walk to the shops lol
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last

Things are still crossed for your DH Helen - it's making walking in the snow very difficult!!
Rant number two: I got to our local Tesco and the lady in front of me put 12 x 4 pints of milk in her trolley!!! I bought the pint of milk the lady wanted and a four pint carton of milk for us. This left 2 x 4 pints on the shelf. Did she really need to buy all that milk???? As I was leaving the shop I heard people arguing and it was the milk lady and an elderly gentleman who'd gone in for milk. She said she 'needed it so she could freeze some so she wouldn't run out' - why are people such selfish pigs!
and the stupid thing is if no one did this there'd be enough for everyone!

    Him - I don't like that
Me - don't eat it then
Him - can I have crisps like the others
Me - only if you put them in that sandwich and eat them like that
    Him - Ok. :rotfl::rotfl:

    Oh I'm soooooooo mean! :D
    excellent!

Excellent tactics Mudbath, and well done on helping your neighbour - sherry eh?! Definite essential!
OH is worrying about how he's going to get his cider out of my car boot cos it's under a foot of snow!
