 Sorry toots, piggers and soappie :o I've been at work today and decluttering lots of work :p Left the Small Penguins with a list of jobs (and rang them earlier asking them to pop in on our elderly neighbours before they go out to make snowballs {the Small Penguins that is, not the elderly neighbours   }).

I'll be continuing the PenPen Towers Great 2010 Declutter once I'm home :D

    Hello
I;m still here. Tired as can be but no going to bed as there is so much to do but I won't do it becuase that will create an even bigger mess. Made diner tonight and it has taken me hours to destroy the kitchen and I just look at it and despair. Have washed up half the things used and left them to drain. I cry every time I go in my room. I can't chuck stuff or I'd have nothing to wear. Can't buy new as OH is being made redundant in March. Most of my stuff doesn't fit. Have put on weight instead of losing. Am now rambling. Will come back tomorrow when maybe I will be able to put my head on straight.
honey as the others have said try to not get stressed about this - it is only making things worse.
the position with OH is preying on your mind and its getting the better of you which is only natural but you could maybe use it to help you.

you have rightly said that you are being careful about money/ buying clothes etc so you really need to get things in line before Mrach so you know exactly where you are.
sort out your clothes as greenbee suggested so you know exactly what you have and what you might need - because you could possibly pick up things in the sales just now when they are cheap.

we all comfort eat from time to time but you have to remember that if you comfort eat your clothes wont fit so whenyou get worried/stressed/ down or whatever makes you want to dive in the biscuit tin STOP and try to be very strong and go and have something healthy or go and do something to take your mind of things.

why not try a challenge for yourself - see how many days you can be good and only eat properly - if you fall by the wayside start again the next day and see if you can better your total.
Eating sensibly will also help your budget - if you can get used to sensible meals now it wont be so hard when hubby is off work.

I dont know what hubbys position will be after he is redundant but just think if you have got the house tidy by then you will be able to get him trained for the lists and have time to go out and do things together - even if it is just a walk.
I know its hard to think of the redundancy as a positive thing but you need to try - while he is still working you will be trying to put money aside - if you get going and get the house tidied up you might find things that you dont need and can ebay to help.

GO BACK TO BASICS - BABYSTEPS!!!!! start with level one for evryday - no excuses just do level 1 properly - then you can do some putting away of things - I find mudbath's 60 in 60 works well - I enjoy trying to find 60 things I can put away in 60 mins - the more often you do it the sooner you will see a difference.
I would suggest that you do all your washing up everyday - ther is nothing worse than coming into the kitchen in the morning and finding dirty dishes from last night. do all the easy things first then fill up the basin with fresh clean very HOT soapy water and pile in the next load and leave them for 10-15 mins to let them soak and the water cool down and you will find they are a doddle to do.

as for your bedroom stand outside it with the door closed - close your eyes open the door and open your eyes - what is the first thing that your eyes fall on? - thats what to deal with first - not the whole room just one thing - deal with it and then go out and close the door - when you feel like doing another bit do the same again.

we have all been overwhelmed at some point so honey you are not alone - just keep trying to do something everyday and slowly you will see it coming together.

always post what you have done and dont worry about what you didnt achieve- it will come round again or will still be there tomorrow.
    love and hugs
    toots xx
    Peace will be mine

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :snow_grin Hello!

Getting there slowly! First thing today was to check on whether children in Church was cancelled as I help with the teas and coffees there, thankfully we decided that very few Mums would be there. My store cupboard has held out but I wrapped up and trudged to the shops to get my elderly neighbour some milk and bread and got some for ourselves (some of which i will portion up and freeze away in case anyone else runs out.) It was lovely and quiet and not slippery. Community spirit is great around here too, lots of smiles and happy new years!

Then back to deliver groceries and have a lovely cuppa with neighbour. After a rest decided to walk Penny before it got any deeper! She is only little and it was up to her tummy in no time! She found a german shepherd and 2 black russian terriers (huge dogs) to run round with and came back covered in snowball pom poms! Soon discovered (after my hairdryer gave up the ghost ) that the best way to deal with this was to sit her in the bath and take the shower attachment over her! Still have a wet carpet to dry out though!

Christmas tree and decs are down and packed up ready for dh to get them into the loft tonight when he comes in from work.

Off to catch up on the thread and then HHI to do!

    rant alert

we dont want the thread to become so large that we draw attention to ourselves by the powers that be - we are lucky with our BG who tries to keep an eye on us but we could do better.

we are already over 1000 posts and it is only wednesday!
NOW I AM BEGGING YOU ...........please keep post on topic - I need to read all the posts to look for stars so try very hard to do this for me.

Point taken and noted, I must admit I have struggled to keep up. The last thing we want is to be shut down as this is such a supportive place.

We all need to make sure posts are flying related and keep chat for the weekend. That way everyone gets a chance to keep up if they want to. It will also make life easier for toots to award stars that people are working hard towards (but toots I don't see me getting any this week so feel free to skip my posts ;):p ) I am busy dot2doting though!

So in line with my pledge to keep to topic

Lunch decluttered, DW loaded, Lounge hoovered, post dealt with and car about to be decluttered of snow in preparation for tomorrow.

Is the popularity of this thread a common thing in the new year, with some good intentions falling off later? Just a thought, as I wasn't here a year ago.

    eta emptied compost caddy too.
yes grateful - we all have good intentions at the start of the year and loads of people dont stay once they have got the idea or find that the lists are not for them.
Jo hugs honey thats too bad what a shame after all your hard work.
SSL (((hugs))) for DD - that can be so painful
