Ah, I wish Mr LW worked closer, as I worry myself sick about his 30 mile journey to work in these conditions. Sadly, in the IT industry, if you're the wrong side of 50, it's a question of take work where you can.:( He was out of work for 11 months at one point, and applied for over 300 posts in that time.

    ((((HUGS)))) Helenj and Mumof2.

    Happy Birthday Greenbee.

    Today's efforts:
Wednesday - Living room, hall and stairs
    Level one
Clear floors of clutter and vacuum them Mr LW does the vacuuming (done Sunday) but floor is now free of clutter apart from the jigsaw we are working on (can be stashed under the bed when I've finished with it for the day)
Make time for yourself!! Half an hour of peace! I'm afraid this happened rather earlier than planned – woke up with a migraine, and had to rest til the little zig-zaggy lights went away._pale_
    Level Two
Wipe sofas Done; even polished Mr LW's leather rocker chair!
Vacuum under furniture you can safely move.. I don't want any hurt backs! See above; we have a Dyson, which is too heavy for me, so Mr LW does the main vacuuming – I just use the little hand-held on hot-spots.
Sort coats and shoes and bags Only coat not stashed away is on wardrobe door because it's damp (from de-icing the birds' lollipop). Only bag in evidence is my handbag, which I have just turfed out to search for rubbish (there wasn't any!)
    Level Three
Dust and deweb all those corners and electrical appliances and shelves.. etc Done all that I can get to; and boy, were there a lot of dragons to dust! Note to self – have a word with spiders about planning permission.
Clear mantel and put back only what should be up there! Done – no clutter to start with.
    Wipe and water plants N/A.

    1. Vacuum under furniture you can safely move
    2. Wash any soft furnishing that need it
    3. polish and dust all the electricals!
    4. Binbag dance.. Binbag shuffle done:D
I don't honestly think I'm ever going to get any stars, as there's too much I physically can't manage due to health problems, but I must say, I feel a lot more motivated to get off my bum and do what I'm able to.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

If you can't do it or it doesn't need doing, and there is nothing you should substitute for it (be honest with yourself!), then cross it off - it counts as done!

Ok I plead absolute ignorance here lilme so please help me. I think our car is a RWD (I'm assuming rear wheel drive) but why does that make them not sensible, I mean our car is built in a country that has LOTS of snow  but then would the ESP thing that it has make a difference - I did see it come on once when I tried to get the car out of the lane when it was sheet ice (ESP i think is where the computer applies traction or power - not sure which to the wheels when its struggling to errrr do something)

For those with Rear Wheel Drive, in this weather you need to put something HEAVY in the boot of your car to help the wheels grip (front wheel drive is fine, you have the weight of the engine to help you). The christmas/new year glass recycling should be enough kaz ;):p

Meeting over, letters all finished and addressed... off to brave the cold and see whether the post office is still there... wish I had wellies rather than just walking boots!:o

Hi Toots - hope you're doing well and not going too stir crazy.

Living room all back to normal and it's made me feel sad, I usually love getting the decs down.

Kids have gone awol for about an hour (note to self be careful what you wish for) and now the living room is done I'm a wee bit concerned, I'll give them 10 more minutes and then I think I'll put my gear on and walk around the block as I want them home before dark.

    Mudders
    - milkgate is really selfish. I am so pleased we have a milkman. Yes we pay more but it is a valuable service not only for us but for those people who can't get out. We can order extras online now which again for some could be vital

Woo-hoo - all done with just a few of my usuals and personal extras to do once the kids come home. The hall and stairs took forever as of course that's where I'd put all the stuff that was moved out of the living room! But now it is mostly put in its right place - well til I get in that room and realise that it isn't!

Awwww - hugs Jo, hope you're ok.

Helen - massive, massive, massive hugs to you. That's what DS had last year and I never, ever want to see someone in that sort of pain again. Hugs to you all xx

Dusty - I only have children here whose parents are equally willing to help out. I don't mean it being tit for tat but people I know I can ask to help me out when needed. These are the children who's parents helped so much when DS was ill and when I had my op. Well, all bar fussy little bug**r. I've got him because I really like his grandma who would have had to get two buses to come and look after him. Also, after an hour or two with me he stops the winges and gets on with it! Bless him!

I gave the elderly lady my number in case she got stuck again. Was slightly concerned when she just rang again in case it was going to become an hourly thing. Anyway, she asked if I could just 'pop' round. She'd made some cakes and biscuits for all the children and asked how I coped with so many! Thought she was going to wet herself when I told her only two were mine. She was laughing so much. Sweet lady and a very good baker. Thank goodness the children will eat most of it.

Done loads in what turned out to be an hour of tidying. Including decluttering the dirt from my hair!!:rotfl:. The bonus of having lots of children is you may as well get on with it and tidy!

Right, another HHC 315 until 345 to get our bedroom sorted.

    Hugs to all xx

So the 2 bags of coal and bag of logs that I couldnt be bothered to unload would do then :rotfl:

Anyway the car has only been out once on the Tues before Christmas and once on Christmas Eve oh and the other day when I took laddo to his mates forgot about that.

    Back to flying
