Piggers, erm you never rested or recovered properly from the glandular fever, if you don't it can develop into M.E. please try to rest as much as you can, no amount of will power or determination gets you 'over' M.E. very similar to Lymes.....i.e. truly, truly awful. xxxx.
Now don't be silly.. I'd have to believe in something in order to be able to contract it.. My throat is feeling a touch better today but I still just want to sleep... after getting up late as it was! Plus that was 7 months ago.. if I was going to get anything related to that it would have happened months agoDustykitten wrote: »Piggers - forgot to say well done to your DD - were they mocks/modules/full results?
We let ours free-range last night and Queen Victoria was a right royal pain, kept jumping on the bed and purring, she will be confined in the throne room tonight
Just going to check the council website to see if they will collect recycling - they haven't for the past month so I doubt it.
Bit of both resultswise I think.. she got highest in the year for the history though
We had cats on beds last night too.
We were meant to be emptied yesterday but apparently they are doing bins tomorrow.. I have loads and loads of recycling!Yeah - but my mate works at the school and she's been told by the caretaker that it's open. I've had a phone call to say mine's closed but it isn't on the Signal site yet. I had said that I wasn't going to take them when I found out mine was closed as I didn't want to walk there to find it was closed again like I did yesterday. But now I know it's open I don't know what to do.
I simply cannot comprehend schools being closed because of snow.. Thankfully as far as I am aware unless there are dead boilers and burst pipes all the schools here are open.. as they jolly well should be!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I've loaded the DW and S&S'd the kitchen, I braved the undersink cupboard so that's all sorted and shiny now :T 12 items flung in the process :T. TD was put on early this morning and I've just remembered so need to go and get them out and fold them up and put another load in. Will get the mop and bucket that's in there while I'm at it. Need to bring the hoover down from upstairs where I left it so I can hoover down here again before I mop. Goooor it's like a full time job this Flylady lark
Welcome new people :hello:
Schools are open here too pigpen, they rarely shut and if they do it's because of burst pipes.

Well I set out for the station at 8am, then saw lots of people heading the opposite way along the road from me. Someone said no trains, but i thought I should check for myself. The trains are apparently starting from 2 stations along as they can't get up the incline to our station (i didn't know there was an incline!). After realising that I'd be mad to get the bus to the other station and would probably get stranded on the way home I phoned my boss. He asked if I was taking leave!!! Errr, I don't think so! Thankfully I'd emailed myself lots of work so I could honestly tell him I could work from home. I did have a cheeky starbucks on the way home though
Now getting on with work but should have time to fly too. DH made it into work thanks to the tram which seems to be running ok. I'm going to work til 12ish then will be up for a HHC.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

Call your boss to discuss what's sensible - say you're not happy traveling in the current conditions, so would like to schedule a teleconference instead of meeting, and that you want to clear your inbox. Presumably you had an out of office message on, so urgent queries will have been picked up on.
Go through the email from the NEWEST - old stuff will either have been dealt with or not be urgent/have been forgotten - and start listing stuff and filing it, as you will probably have multiple emails on the same topic. Then talk through the list with your boss to check what has been picked up by others and what hasn't. Suggest you deal with the new stuff first, and then when you're back in the swing of things, arrange handovers where appropriate for the other stuff. Also highlight any of the new stuff that you don't feel you can deal with at the moment as you're not up to speed on various things - pick simple things to start with.
Your boss should appreciate you having a plan! Suggest that you speak daily for the next couple of weeks, just to make sure you're keeping up, and if it gets too bad, ask for a phased return with a reduced workload in proportion.
Whatever you do, DON'T get panicked about it. You did it before, and can do it again
excellent advice. My rule with emails is flag, file or delete. I always aim to have less than 25 in my inbox, and use it like a to do list. It's hard when you've been away but as greenbee says there will be lots that can just be deleted as they will be replies to the same thing.
I am on webmail today which is a pain!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
It is still snowing steadily here. Woody is out in it the whole time - he loves snow!
Going to dry my hair and then take the tree down and get the kids started on a 1000 puzzle (no not putting the needles back on the tree).
SSL - recycling is driving me bonkers too. I don't put mine out if they are not coming but some people have left their's out for weeks now. I tried to take some to the bottle bank last week but it was overflowing. Our website says they are not coming. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Am plugging away at the list but not got any stars yet. Am hoping to get up to date with the lists today.

i have decided that im not gonna do much flying today, i think i will get the children dressed then go to shop and let them have a little fun in the snow. I still need to do a few things before i go though:
s&S kitchen
sweep kitchen floor
fold dried clothes and put up stairs ready to be put away
tidy lr up and give it a quick vacuum
and thats all i can remember for now.xxMy goal this year is to be more orginised and start leading a healthy life.xx0
