Got up at 7 and I'm tired today - cant think why as did nothing yesterday although have booked my appts for blood test friday and results next tues before return to work Wed.

Nothing overnight but heavy snow shower this morning. DH (at work) was restocking his car and came home to take DD to school but I wouldnt have had to walk anyway as she goes on her own now so am still sat here in my PJ's with a dogwarmer on my lap.

Right better go get on otherwise it will be another wasted day, if you see me here before lunchtime, kick my butt off please and make me do something
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

We're snowy but its not to bad, its not actually snowing at the moment but theres some heavy clouds around so I wouldn't be surprised if it did. Need to go into Hull today, going wedding dress shopping with a friend (her dress not mine, but I'm hoping to gat ideas;)) Will be going by train coz they seem to be running normally (live next to tracks) whereas the buses I've seen so far have all been late (walked OH to work...co I wanted to walk in the nice snow).

Greenbee - Happy Snowy Birthday - have you had a snowy one before?
Thanks Dusty (and everyone else!). I've had snowy birthdays before, but not since living this far south (not that Norfolk is particularly far north, but it does get more snow... in fact, I learned to drive in snow :Dwhich is why I don't go out in it if I can avoided, as it appears most other people have no clue what to do...)

We let ours free-range last night and Queen Victoria was a right royal pain, kept jumping on the bed and purring, she will be confined in the throne room tonight ;).
My mum said the cat was VERY p'd off at being turfed out last night (the dog says in the kitchen in cold weather rather than the kennel, which she's not entirely happy about, but the cat can't be trusted  and if she's allowed to wander wakes everyone up at 4am...) and has bolted in to sleep on my mum's bed. I did suggest getting the covered cat basket out (she sleeps in the porch) but my mum reckons that her insulation and fur should be more than enough to keep her warm!

Greenbee - I will call my boss and discuss working from home today and my anxiety about the inital starting. She's a lovely manager (unlike the temp manager we had last year), we spoke last week about a phased return - I'm working two days this week, three next week while reviewing continually. We've also agreed for me to "come and go" as I feel I need to. Thanks for the advice - I'll stay positive and I need to be upfront and honest with my Manager and tell her how its going.

The other thing agreed was for me to have no contact with service users for the first month to give me the chance to get back on track with work. One of my other worries about returning to work to support people was "how can I support people if I'm still receiving and needing so much support myself". I want to give service users everything I have, they deserve nothing less. Sorry for going on everyone.

It sounds as if you've got it all straight in your head, and once you get back to working with your lovely boss rather than the idiot (I remember the discussions now ;)) you had before, I'm sure you'll be fine.

SIL got home at about 8am, and is off to bed - she slept under her bed and got about an hour's sleep. At one point apparently Highways Agency advice on their website was 'Walk' :rotfl::rotfl:. Some people here have gone out... hopefully only those who need to collect abandoned cars - the police want them collected as they're a hazard, and if no one else goes out it should be OK for the few who need to (plus those who really really have to drive to work, like emergency services...)

I've spoken to all the family (my dad is apparently planning on driving home tomorrow, so I'll be putting out another request for details of driving conditions!), half unloaded the DW and opened the windows to get some air into the house. Breakfast eaten (297 kcals - all carefully weighed & measured and nutrional values taken from packets and saved to website), so I guess I should get dressed, clear up the mess from opening my presents :D and do a bit of flying before I have to start work!

It's still snowing... 6 inches and increasing!

In my HHC I emptied and reloaded WM, fed birds, spoke to colleague - she needs some info from me for IEPs as she's lost it so I need to find my copy and ring her back later - cleared drainer and washed dishes.
