Morning all,
Hope all are okay and those with snow are staying at home, back to work for me today and after nearly 3 weeks off i really dont want to go...
Greenbee - Happy Birthday enjoy your day in the snow!!!0 -

Juliejim - thank you, are you keeping an eye on the signal radio site for updates on the school? My two have their ears glued to the radio!
Moam - declutering emails? What a great way to tackle them! Thanks
Greenbee - I will call my boss and discuss working from home today and my anxiety about the inital starting. She's a lovely manager (unlike the temp manager we had last year), we spoke last week about a phased return - I'm working two days this week, three next week while reviewing continually. We've also agreed for me to "come and go" as I feel I need to. Thanks for the advice - I'll stay positive and I need to be upfront and honest with my Manager and tell her how its going.
The other thing agreed was for me to have no contact with service users for the first month to give me the chance to get back on track with work. One of my other worries about returning to work to support people was "how can I support people if I'm still receiving and needing so much support myself". I want to give service users everything I have, they deserve nothing less. Sorry for going on everyone.
Hugs to all, have a good day whatever the weather! Happy Birthday Greenbee, have a fantastic day :j:DAF since 10.04.11

Yeah - but my mate works at the school and she's been told by the caretaker that it's open. I've had a phone call to say mine's closed but it isn't on the Signal site yet. I had said that I wasn't going to take them when I found out mine was closed as I didn't want to walk there to find it was closed again like I did yesterday. But now I know it's open I don't know what to do.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Morning all
Jue I would check the hour b hour forecast and make a decision based on that. I had the text last night at 11pm but it's still not showing on the local radio website.
Happy Birthday Greenbee great advise for lala. Lala your concerns for others demonstrate that you have the right mind set for this, your boss sounds supportive so make sure they know your fears and concerns. I was off work with stress years ago and dreaded the prospect of returning but once I had gone back and settled (which didn't take as long as I thought) I was fine and I am sure you will be too. You have the power of the flygang behind you

Well...I've got DD at home today...school is still (allegedly) open but it's snowing hard here and I'm not trekking for almost a mile with the pushchair only to get there and find that they haven't let anyone know that they're closed. More to the point, I don't think I want to come back then get called to collect as they've decided to close.....
Anyway, OH is going out to build a snowman with her, and I've got loads of flying to do...decorations down today, plus a huge ironing pile (at least an hour's worth), along with the list.
Take care all...keep warm

Toots & Lady L
Toots I remembered while laying in bed last night I hadn't replyed when you asked if things were better now with OH re christmas party season. They have been a lot better and now he's not a crab. Working a full week at his work and doing 4 or 5 discos as well as that long drive was taking it's toll. Normally we get paid in 2 parts, 1 before christmas and 1 after. I normally use the first for all the gifts but this year I managed to get everything without touching it, so I'm pleased with that. I will use £160 to pay the final ballance on 2 bills and I'm getting myself a dyson, splitting the big bedroom into 2 for the boys and finishing the hall:rolleyes:. Any left overs I'll put to my Christmas fund for next time.
I'm not sending my lot to school today it's really bad out there and the school phone is just ringing out so I have no idea if it's open or not today. I will take my half hour doing something for myself going back to bed for a while (thanks pigpen I love you x)Funfairs list of daily dreads

Good morning all!
Just to let you all know, I'm back online and I've got a snow day today! :j
Just spoken to LadyL on the phone, and she has no power, so can't get online, but she's ok, and she says :hello: If the snow clears up a bit later I may pop in and see her, but it depends on how bad the roads are. Both of us also want to say Happy Birthday Greenbee. :bdaycake:
Plan for today - catch up on school planning (due in this Friday if we're open) and try to cut down mount washmore - have been putting it off as I have to go outside to get to the garage where the washing machine is, but am running out of clothes so have to do some today. Also need to have a general hoover and S&S as there are mud tracks from shoes etc around the house.
Hugs for all who need or want them.
